Well, update again. Had it at the track this weekend and...........

no problems at all Smile

The 4.9 just kicks ass in this car. I was not really impressed with the LSD though - it did its job, sort of in that it limited inside wheel spin but it was less aggressive than the stock ITR diff and I was expecting more out of a clutch diff. I found a brand new Kaaz LSD for $600 on H-T, I think I am going to buy that and sell the OPM one for hopefully almost the same price. The benefit of that is that its a real, honest clutch LSD and not a jerry-rigged clutch pack unit inside a stock diff - http://www.kaazusa.com/

RJ - waits for the peanut gallery to say "i told you so" or "nice phantom grip"

BTW, the motorcycle shop has all the 'Pro Honda' fluids and odds and ends.... hondabond, pro honda carb cleaner, brake cleaner, silicon spray, threadlock, grease, lube, etc - cool shit. All the honda product I've used is bar none the best stuff out there.

Trans back in, car runs, yadda yadda....

Sort of anticlimatic now when you just put everything back together and the car runs again after doing this so many times. Ho-hum.

I'll install the blingin crank pulley this weekend sometime, and possibly pull the a/c system out. If I do that... Kaan we need to re-scale the car on friday night Wink

Well, replaced both axle seals that came on the trans that I rebuilt - They were both leaking, and I trashed a new seal on each side putting them on Sad It was a lot ffing harder thant it looked - getting them in without crushing the seal and at the right depth was a huge pain. I took the seals off the old stock trans and used those instead and they appear to be not leaking anymore.
