FS: '92 Miata / parts car, bring a trailer

SOLD

I bought this thinking I'd turn it into a track car but got remarried and had more babies instead while it's been sitting in my garage for 4 years. Top, seats, stereo, window regulators gone, the rest is still here. 158k miles. Runs and drives just fine, I've let it warm up once or twice a year. Right front framerail, fender, hood, bumper, condenser damaged, but I got the wheels reasonably aligned. Other stuff removed but still present, headlights, door glass, door panels, glovebox, center console and the rest of the interior. Pick up in Troutville, VA, I even have the title!

Also included LRBspeed aluminum door panels and rear finish panel, brand new, worth $300.

$900 for all of it!

Short terrible quality video of letting it warm up today, cannot figure out how to embed anymore

For now I'm going to try keeping it all together

Yeah, after this car was wrecked, I jumped the battery to get it started and flipped the cables around. They got hot and burned my hands when I took them off. I got really mad and slammed the trunk shut, which destroyed the finish panel.

Had a guy call who's interested, but his is an auto with a blowed up engine and he's heard there's something different about the engines. I didn't know what to tell him, you guys know what's different?

Yeah, bore, stroke, and camshaft profile are all different afaik.

A manual engine would be an upgrade I believe. Everything should work as far as sensors and everything.

Correct.  auto 1.6 engines had lower compression vs manual 1.6's.  It would be an upgrade for him and a direct bolt in

That's pretty hilarious that they'd have to de-tune this monster 1.6. So it'd bolt up fine but I assume he'd need the manual ECU? Obviously the answer is swap the transmission too but that's just me.

Bolts up just fine.  They can use the auto ecu.  Back in the day, the "cheat" was to use an auto ecu in a manual car, supposedly gave a few more HP

ok thanks both.
Hopefully this guy takes it because the two that have responded to my FB listing apparently have zero reading comprehension skills. "What has been removed" and "does it have the top". Well guys, let me check....

$600 for MMers I'm tired of people making offers, I accept them, then they don't actually make a plan to come get it. So odd.
