Doesn't look right to me

Am I being too old? He was behind me in the school pick up line on the last day. The kid is in kindergarten so about 4.

It bothers me so much that people wear shorts when they ride. I have no clue how miserable it is the ride in the sun in full gear, but they're screwed if they lay it down. That kid is WAY too small. How is he even holding onto the guy? No way his arms even reach around far enough.

There has got to be a law against this. Someone call child protective services and save him from certain death by the hands of his meth head father.

I don't think most states have an age restriction for motorcycle passengers, and I've often wondered at what age I would even consider it. Hint: it's a whole lot older than 4.

Undecided I used to ride with my dad at that age. But I was in boots, pants, leather jacket, and a helmet.

It was usually quick trips to the grocery store or rides down the GW parkway.

I rode with my parents from a real young age. I could even sleep on the back if I was on dads dresser. I see more of a problem with the guy not wearing the right great or giving his kid some.

I mean, he was in front of the hospital, so he's good to go right?

Yup, mostly young attentive drivers around the hospital. Smile

The kids size, lack of gear and the type of bike (not much of a seat) really made this stand out. I'm not a motorcyclist and my parents weren't but I get that long-time riders would not think twice about having their kids on the back. But, you know, give him/her a fighting chance... I can't imagine a 4 year old having the attention span to recognize and strength to hang-on in an emergency situation, even one where the the bike doesn't go down.

that makes me cringe. you want to donate your skin to VA-DOT? fine, but don't take your poor kid down Jackwagon Street with you.

not to mention that kid, provided he doesn't get hurt, is going to take this idiot's example with him into adulthood as an acceptable way to ride too..."i've been in shorts and flipflops since i was a baby! you guys and your gear, bunch of boyscouts!"

Not to mention, at that age, wearing a helmet is like strapping a bowling ball to their head. They don't really have the neck for it yet (hence why support collars are really important for kids) and that just provides a distraction for them when hanging on. I too rode on the back of my dad's bike as a kid but not that young, and even then I remember that being an issue.

Good point. My son's head is already as big as my wife's! But he looks like he's going to fall over when he puts her helmet on. Might save his head in a crash but wouldnt do him much good as it would no longer be attached to his body.

Only a dude wearing flops on a crotch rocket would dress his child like that while riding with him. Fucking retard.
