For those of you that don't pay attention to FB I am looking for a replacement for the jeep.
I've decided a 04-08 Forester 2.5XT, 5spd should fit the bill nicely.
If during your internet browsing sessions you can keep an eye out for one.
I don't think I want to spend over $11k.
04-08 2.5XT only, 04-05 will prob be the only ones in my price range.
Around 100k is cool, timing belt work being done is preferable at that mileage.
Prefer any color other than the red, but I'm open to it.
5spd.
I'm willing to travel a descent distance if need be.
Gracias.
just an FYI, these have pretty small backseats, and tough to fit a rear facing seat in one comfortably.
Thanks for the heads up Evan. I took a look at one today with the car seat in it, and its no different than the back seat in the XJ so we should still be good. Casey's Saab will still be the main baby transport.
Believe it or not we just had one of those! A black one with 60 some on it. But it was an Auto. We got it from another dealer for a customer. I don't think they bought it and we sent it back.

like the move to an xt, but i might be bias. sure you're watching it already, http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f93/ although 04/05 manuals usually go quick with that crowd. i'll keep an eye out.
edit: first one i clicked on. http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin ... ns-128827/
tbelt done, 120ish miles, go-fast goodies, $11,000
Thanks Dave, I am already signed up on that sight and refreshing the for sale page pretty regularly. Im looking at one in NJ, Dan is gonna take a look for me tomorrow, and may pull the trigger on it if the report comes back with good results, and I can talk the owner down a bit in price.
Even though I am really impatient, I am in no rush, the Jeep is running perfect, and the longer It takes me to find a forester, the more time I have to fix the small issues on the jeep.
Did the nj one end up panning out?
