Seems like a number of good posts got deleted in the "Lost Summer". Having survived the apocalypse I feel like we must redouble our efforts to repopulate the forum. Should be only slightly less fun than repopulating the earth after the apocalypse.

here's a great test drive and some in-depth look at the 'wing's construction and design ethos. there is a ton of cool stuff going on in this thing. it seems ridiculous but ends up making quite a bit of sense once its explained. i love to see new ideas in racing so this kind of stuff makes me happy.

the only issue i have is that i think it will be tough to translate some of this tech into a road car that normal people buy. i can see aero enhancements maybe, but not overall chassis design.

I was unaware that the rear was so unconventional as well.

Ah! An electric one! This thing just gets crazier. I guess the fuel guy is now a battery swapping guy?

an 88 lb 3-cyl, 400hp engine should get this thing around just fine!

From what I heard/read they had tranny issues this past weekend. It is a seriously cool car that blows your mind when you see it. Front tires are 4inches wide. I heard one of the Nissan guys talking and it made sense, only 30% of the weight is on the front tires, so you only need 30% of the contact patch. The one in Daytona was powered by a Turbo 4cyl and weighed in at 1100lbs. The other DP cars were around 23-2400lbs.

I'll take mine flesh colored.
