Dyno Readout for a Legacy spec.B - Apoc - 05-07-2008 It's not mine and this car has an intake. I'm interested in people's thoughts. My observations: -This seems high for a car rated ~250 with just an intake -God awful drop ~3900 rpm!? It's actually noticeable while driving. -It's got NOTHING above 5k, as John stated. -No real difference in the S and S# throttle maps, except the 3900 crap is lessened.
- .RJ - 05-07-2008 Roll ons? :!: - Apoc - 05-07-2008 Supposedly 3rd gear... but wasn't specified. - WRXtranceformed - 05-07-2008 Subarus do weird things with aftermarket intakes. What brand was it? - Apoc - 05-07-2008 SPT... but the thread makes me think that drop at 3900 is what everyone else sees too. I'm pretty sure I've got the same thing, which is why I looked for a dyno sheet in the first place. Original thread: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56700 - WRXtranceformed - 05-07-2008 On a side note, those numbers are high because that's a DynoJet. But if you're making comparisons, it sounds like STIs are making similar numbers on his dyno so that's pretty impressive. - ScottyB - 05-07-2008 that AF "curve" is :? 14's at 3900 to 12's at 4100....oh subaru, so wacky - WRXtranceformed - 05-07-2008 I remember hearing about similar problems with the newer STI limited factory ECU programming... I was talking to a guy at a meet who had one and he was mentioning similar woes. - D_Eclipse9916 - 05-07-2008 Wow it looks like they are really running it lean to help spool up and then run it rich once it hits boost. Looks like the turbo is running out of air up top which is why it is falling off. Common fixes are better exhaust/intake/cams, but youll still have the same problem till a bigger turbo. - ScottyB - 05-07-2008 i think subaru also does that with the AF to control emissions to an extent since the N/A's have an almost identical AF curve (hits the "rich" part at 4500 as opposed to 4000) - Apoc - 05-08-2008 They supposedly just released tuning for the SI-Drive system but the info on the site referenced doesn't even talk any technical specifications. - flintster55 - 05-15-2008 Yea i'm thinking the A/F change at 4kish is the OL/CL transition. That's odd though I would think it would kick out of cloosed loop a lot sooner than 4k though especially at WOT. I looked mine up in Enginuity and mine switches from OL to CL at ~70% throttle below 3600. |
