Jack Hirsch JMU, Class of ÔÇÿ05 - Feersty - 02-11-2008 Political party preference? lol - JackoliciousLegs - 02-12-2008  - mrbaggio - 02-12-2008 Can you tell us about the projects the company is working on? - JackoliciousLegs - 02-12-2008 We're only working on one project. It's a travel planning site. It's currently in private alpha, so we're in super stealth mode. Basically, imagine an online travel agent that does everything for you. We're working towards some interesting features that have already proven popular on other sites, as well as some new additions that should make us stand out. Basically, it's one product, one project, and one team :-) It's the definition of a Silicon Valley web startup... haha - HAULN-SS - 02-12-2008 Why's this going to be better than Travelocity? - Evan - 02-12-2008 HAULN-SS Wrote:Why's this going to be better than Travelocity? JackoliciousLegs Wrote:we're in super stealth mode. I look forward to seeing your product Jack. If you can integrate "what to do when you get there" I will definately take a look. I just booked a trip out west to some national parks and I had no idea what exactly to do so my gf just planned everything :p - Mike - 02-12-2008 in case people don't know about it, kayak.com is incredible. - Hunter - 02-12-2008 Mike Wrote:in case people don't know about it, kayak.com is incredible.+1 I use that site every time I need a flight. - HAULN-SS - 02-12-2008 Evan Wrote:HAULN-SS Wrote:Why's this going to be better than Travelocity?JackoliciousLegs Wrote:we're in super stealth mode. If i was going to tell someone about the job, who might be interested, he's going to ask me if they're going to go out of business in 6 months, which they will unless they have something else, this really is a good idea, or they have an assload of capital. I'd want to know at least one of those was true before i moved across the country. - white_2kgt - 02-12-2008 HAULN-SS Wrote:Evan Wrote:HAULN-SS Wrote:Why's this going to be better than Travelocity?JackoliciousLegs Wrote:we're in super stealth mode. Thats YOU, not the 1,000's of others who would take a bit larger salary to up and move somewhere new. It is also NOT me. - JackoliciousLegs - 02-12-2008 Yeah, who knows where we'll be in 6 months. We're good on money til the end of the year. After you move out here though, if you work here, you can work anywhere. - John - 02-12-2008 Mike Wrote:in case people don't know about it, kayak.com is incredible. I've been using Kayak for about 2 years now - always a great starting point! - JackoliciousLegs - 02-12-2008 Kayak roooocks. It's really amazing. We're integrating with them in the near future as well. - Mike - 02-13-2008 jacko, interested in part-time tele-commuting employees? - JackoliciousLegs - 02-13-2008 Not really. We'd be open to telecommuting, but only after being here for a bit. - Mike - 02-13-2008 THEN IM OUT! |
