MM Drag Day @ MIR - 7/14/06 - Beej - 06-29-2006 I know we're not traditionally a club that is big into drag racing, but I went once last fall and had a decent time. Cost: $20, you get a few runs depending on how busy it is. Details: http://www.mirdrag.com/v2/schedule/cale ... 060714.htm Last time I got there a little late, got one practice run in, and then bracket-racing started. Looks like the same setup, but don't kill me if I'm wrong. A buddy from work his taking his VR4, I'm taking the STi, G is gonna take the bike, and Mike is playing his Nancy card. I plan on leaving work a little early for it, since traffic getting down there always takes forever. - Nis01 - 06-30-2006 I'd be interested in seeing what the Subie will do as well. - D_Eclipse9916 - 06-30-2006 Damnit, so close. I have to figure out what the fuck is wrong with my car. I had gotten everything on and the car was running and boosting perfectly. Then I hit a fucking lake of water and now my car runs like dogshit. Why oh why, then I lose my fucking keys, and a headlight goes out (probably water hitting my lightbulbs) the water literally was over my hood. Yes I didnt see it until I hit it. Have fun guys, I most likely wont make it out, unless I somehow get this fixed. - Beej - 06-30-2006 Nis01 Wrote:I'd be interested in seeing what the Subie will do as well. :lol:It'd be dope if you did stock vs. the AP Stage 1 map. Only if you have experience launching I guess. I know I'll probably try a couple different methods, which would ruin any results. <-- lurks IWSTI. - JustinG - 06-30-2006 damnit, my dad is havin surgery that day, so im out, lemme know when you guys are gonna do this again, maybe ill bring the Explorer  - Mike - 06-30-2006 Mike is actually playing the "I've got better things to do than smoke BJ all day long." - Nis01 - 06-30-2006 Beej Wrote:LoL BJ... You found me. Yea, I'll be running Stage 1 by then.. perhaps Stage 2 if I can decide on a downpipe in time. :wink:Nis01 Wrote:I'd be interested in seeing what the Subie will do as well. :lol:It'd be dope if you did stock vs. the AP Stage 1 map. I doubt I will see any real time improvement considering Stage 1 only really helps smooth out the power curve and more higher gear potential... Not to mention I've never really practiced launching this car. - G.Irish - 06-30-2006 Mike Wrote:Mike is actually playing the "I've got better things to do than smoke BJ all day long." And in turn get smoked by G... - Sijray21 - 06-30-2006 i wonder what the RR will do....i'll check to see if bikes are allowed. EDIT: Damnit!!! i'll be on vacation that week. - Mike - 06-30-2006 G.Irish Wrote:Mike Wrote:Mike is actually playing the "I've got better things to do than smoke BJ all day long." that is your hope. difference between 11.2 and 10.8 is a lot less than 11.2 and 13.3

Y'all have fun with that. - Mike - 06-30-2006 G.Irish Wrote:Mike Wrote:G.Irish Wrote:Mike Wrote:Mike is actually playing the "I've got better things to do than smoke BJ all day long." My humblest apologies, I've fixed it. - G.Irish - 06-30-2006 .RJ Wrote:130mph with a jersey wall 8' on either side of you. When's the last time anyone hooked their bike 8 feet to either side while going full throttle in a straight line? Anyone? - Dragon - 06-30-2006 G.Irish Wrote:That all depends, how far to the side did RJ slide out at JMU?.RJ Wrote:130mph with a jersey wall 8' on either side of you. - Mike - 06-30-2006 G.Irish Wrote:.RJ Wrote:130mph with a jersey wall 8' on either side of you. Always a first time. I've gone from around 75 to 145 and that wasn't hairy at all other than the kink. - .RJ - 06-30-2006 Beej Wrote:Where's a safer place to do it than a dragstrip? I'd almost feel safer on the street than a dragstrip. Concrete walls hurt. |
