Saturn Sky - Mike - 09-11-2005 Fuck... just saw this thing on the tube. Hot looking car... Saturn reinventing their image? 170hp/163tq, 2.4L 4 banger, RWD...SHIT! http://www.saturn.com/saturn/showroom/f ... lashOK=yes Could certainly use a turbo, but with 170hp and likely a lowish weight, this car is moneybags. RJ, buy one. - .RJ - 09-11-2005 I think its fucking hot.... price should be under $20k. Supposedly a turbo version in the works also, GM already has a turbo version of the engine in an Opel. - Evan - 09-11-2005 same car as the pontiac solstice but yeah, pretty hot. reminds me of the opel speedster - WRXtranceformed - 09-11-2005 I think it looks awesome, especially the rear end. 170 hp seems a bit weak, but a turbo is always a good idea! - .RJ - 09-11-2005 WRXtranceformed Wrote:but a turbo is always a good idea! Something we can definately agree on - WRXtranceformed - 09-11-2005 .RJ Wrote:WRXtranceformed Wrote:but a turbo is always a good idea! hehe! - Feersty - 09-11-2005 Yup saw the commercial during the Redskins game. It like a C6 Mini me. Definitely a hot looking car. - John - 09-11-2005 Evan Wrote:reminds me of the opel speedster Is it based off the same chassis? I saw several Speedsters at the 'Ring... seemed like a fun car. - Evan - 09-11-2005 no, the speedster is mid engine and based off the elise - Sijray21 - 09-11-2005 also just saw it on the football commercial today. I think it's pretty hot, i was wondering what it was. I actually thought it was opel and their roadster until i heard saturn hock:. I like the overall appearance (first saturn for me). A turbo with those numbers for n/a would be f-ing sweet. - Mike - 09-11-2005 if it is based off the solstice... does the solstice also have plastic body panels? does the sky even have them? will it reduce the weight significantly? - CaptainHenreh - 09-11-2005 Mike Wrote:if it is based off the solstice... does the solstice also have plastic body panels? does the sky even have them? will it reduce the weight significantly? Saturn is phasing out the plastic body panels due to customer complaints about them. (Smell and fitment) I'm holding out for the Nomad, a rumored 2 door hatch based on that platform. - ScottyB - 09-11-2005 i think a used S2K would be a solid competitor to this car except that it wouldn't have as much time left on the warranty and such. i hope the sky is successful, it would be nice to have a true domestic sportster-type of car in the mix - Evan - 09-11-2005 the plastic panels smell? I always figured that was just RJ..... - .RJ - 09-11-2005 Lunchbox ownz j00!!! Maybe its time for lunchbox v 3.0? - Evan - 09-11-2005 doodoo brown - .RJ - 09-11-2005 Dont hate, I still think I would have rolled j00r ass at CMP! - Evan - 09-11-2005 now thats funny even on my shitty sumitomos and 280 lb instructor i was still a couple seconds a lap faster but why are we bench racing from 4 years ago? - .RJ - 09-12-2005 Evan Wrote:but why are we bench racing from 4 years ago? Because its even better than it was then! - Evan - 09-12-2005 jester0097: probably a good thing i crashed hte lunchbox jester0097: otherwise i'd have a ugly plastic ITA car now ;-) Ev V dOg: and now you just have an ugly ITA car |
