MMM - white_2kgt - 09-01-2005 ![]() ![]() ![]() Should be at Summit in September - ScottyB - 09-01-2005 hello, whats this?! damn Chad....you're really getting a collection going! nice choice by the way, looks awesome! any more details? - KPWSerpiente - 09-01-2005 I like the rustang better. But my one busted ass car gives me no room to speak. -T - Feersty - 09-01-2005 Did you see this Car in Craigslist or Hondatech? - Sijray21 - 09-02-2005 Feersty Wrote:Did you see this Car in Craigslist or Hondatech? lol, i doubt he'd be on H-T much but those are the only two place you can buy a car though ![]() Nice find man, i'm jealous, i've always wanted the e36 m3. Can't wait to see it in september. So is that the daily? or another car to cycle through track/daily
- ViPER1313 - 09-02-2005 Are you going to modify it or keep it stock?? - Dave - 09-02-2005 awesome Chad. I'm quite jealous. You get a monster bonus or something ;-). Excursion + mustang + M3 = mad playa
- .RJ - 09-02-2005 whiskey tango foxtrot, chad. You're just not going to know what to do with a car that actually turns! ![]() Best of luck..... whats the mileage/maintenance history like? Before it hits the track, replace the *entire* cooling system - radiator, hoses, water pump (wasserpumpen!), t-stat and t-stat housing (get the aluminum one). All of that shit is a ticking time bomb on those cars. Oh, and the transmission mounts, replace those too.... and the rear trailing arm bushings if you have time. - BLAIR - 09-02-2005 DAMN SEXY.. the car that everyone here should by.. cause it seems everyone talks about a e36 m3 and no one gets one - .RJ - 09-02-2005 BLAIR Wrote:cause it seems everyone talks about a e36 m3 and no one gets one Because any E36 is guaranteed to be a POS. They require a lot of attention past 80k miles. - Mike - 09-02-2005 que le f! hitting the track? what about the stang? - Feersty - 09-02-2005 <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/car/92976731.html">http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/car/92976731.html</a><!-- m --> Holy Crap a 1995 M3 for $7950!! - BLINGMW - 09-02-2005 Cool! so.... yeah, is there a "plan" for this thing? Did the mustang finally get too scary and expensive? but I'm confused. Something just isn't right when a 'merican car nut buys one of these..... you aren't just going to wreck it into a tree to make a point or something are you? Oh, and if you thought the mustang was easy to mis-shift on track, well good luck with this! :o really. Unconfuse me. What is the point of this thing? I fear gross misuse and nefarious plans.... :evileye: - white_2kgt - 09-02-2005 ScottyB Wrote:hello, whats this?! 1998 M3, 36k miles KPWSerpiente Wrote:I like the rustang better. But my one busted ass car gives me no room to speak. Yea, I still like the 'rustang better too ![]() Feersty Wrote:Did you see this Car in Craigslist or Hondatech? Jesus dude, first, I don't read either of those, second I found it in the last issue of Roundel (BMW Club Magazine) theguywiththeSi Wrote:Nice find man, i'm jealous, i've always wanted the e36 m3. So is that the daily? or another car to cycle through track/daily It will be a daily/track car. .RJ Wrote:whiskey tango foxtrot, chad. 36k miles, never been track, according to prior owner. Trans mounts and rear control arm mounts are high on the list, cooling system was added, what's the problem w/ the radiator and water pump? The prior owner (1 owner car) had all the BMW service notes in the manual, oil changes/filter ever 5-6k miles (mobil 1). Blackstone reports every oil change since 16k miles. New brake pads/rotors, coolant flush and redline oil in gear box and differential. BLINGMW Wrote:Oh, and if you thought the mustang was easy to mis-shift on track, well good luck with this! :o Yea, I took it out last night and found the shifting must to be desired. On those aftermarket shifters, do they clean up any of the 'slop' in changing gears, that shifter in hand almost feels like a wet noodle. BLINGMW Wrote:really. Unconfuse me. What is the point of this thing? I fear gross misuse and nefarious plans.... :evileye: Maybe this will clear things up. I just picked it up in Jersey City ($130 in gas + $91.50 in tolls) for a buddy of mine . He doesn't have a garage and since it has no tags it _could_ get towed. So he is keeping it at my place until MVA is open Tuesday. He does plan on tracking it and if all goes well he will be at Summit w/ us this month. Short list of mods were,Exhaust (Crossed off b/c it came with Supersport catback) Trans Bushings Shifter Rear Control arm bushings. Tires (non R compound but something sticky) Brake Pads So there you have it I'm just babysitting for a few days  --chad - BLINGMW - 09-02-2005 ah HA!!! I knew something wasn't right. and no, I think short shifters on that car are a bad idea IMHO, just making the money shift easier to do. But replacing the bushings in the linkeage should help a lot. Although in a '98, it shouldn't be THAT bad.... - Mike - 09-02-2005 i thought it was too good to be true (and didn't make any sense) ![]() looks like a good pick up. 91.50 in tolls!? wtf! - Feersty - 09-02-2005 What a great friend you are....lol! - Sijray21 - 09-02-2005 white_2kgt Wrote:So there you have it had us all convinced.... :? i didn't think you'd get anything other than ford anyway ![]() i'm going to go ahead and say that your next car will be a pinto - Ryan T - 09-02-2005 time to slap some old tags on it and go drift. - white_2kgt - 09-02-2005 Mike Wrote:looks like a good pick up. 91.50 in tolls!? wtf! tell me about it. 2 in MD, 2 in deleware and the NJ Turnpike, that was just the trip up, then we (he) had to pay the same tolls on the way back, plus we were at the 4 axel rate!
