Re: 2010 BMW 135i - SlimKlim - 06-11-2015 Yeah the VW has keyless entry/start but no memory functions, and only partially power seats. It's really weird how they're packaging up trim levels on your average $25-30k car, you get some high tech stuff you wouldn't expect, but some not so high tech stuff that you think would be standard by now isn't offered. Personally I'd trade the car automatically unlocking when I touch the handle for a height-adjustable power lumbar support. Or maybe the gimmicky LED running lights for memory seats. Re: 2010 BMW 135i - WRXtranceformed - 06-11-2015 I thought I remember seeing a power lift gate button you could hit on the trunk itself...but I have looked at so many cars the past few weekends I could be mistaken. Either way there are a handful of other features that car could do without to add in a memory driver seat Re: 2010 BMW 135i - RawrImAMonster - 06-11-2015 Looks like this is the piece you need to fix comfort access. It has the antenna built in. Looks like it takes about an hour. I just haven't cared enough to do it. $200 plus getting it painted. https://www.getbmwparts.com/parts/2010/ ... eid=214672 Although, I may go ahead and fix it just so I can say the car doesn't have any problems... Edit: Ordered the handle, so this will be fixed when I sell it. Re: 2010 BMW 135i - RawrImAMonster - 06-23-2015 And that fixed my problems with comfort access. The door handle comes painted to match your car based on your VIN so that saved some pain. Install was super easy, took less than 10 minutes. I now have a BMW with zero problems. Re: 2010 BMW 135i - Sully - 06-23-2015 RawrImAMonster Wrote:I now have a BMW with zero problems. For now.... This is the perfect car for my needs right now.......other than the fact that it's probably about $14k over what I want to spend right now and that its a new Bmw(see new fangled computer controlled everything) Re: 2010 BMW 135i - RawrImAMonster - 06-24-2015 You can get some of the early model 335i coupes with the same motor a good bit cheaper than what I paid for mine if you like that body style. Re: 2010 BMW 135i - RawrImAMonster - 08-27-2015 Going to start demodding it next week. Anyone want a 135i? Re: 2010 BMW 135i - WRXtranceformed - 08-27-2015 Revolve that door dog - RJ Re: 2010 BMW 135i - .RJ - 08-27-2015 WRXtranceformed Wrote:Revolve that door dog :?: Ahem, feersty said that Re: 2010 BMW 135i - RawrImAMonster - 08-27-2015 Gotta grab all the cars I ever wanted while I have no real financial obligations right? Eventually I might find something I want to hold on to for more than a year or so. I will say, if this car was a 1M, I would probably hold onto it a long time. I hate BMW for making so few of those. Please tell me it's not a Prius like the rest of the bobos here seem to be doing Re: 2010 BMW 135i - Jake - 08-27-2015 I hope it's something exclusive that you don't see just cruising around every day. That would just be absurd. Re: 2010 BMW 135i - RawrImAMonster - 08-27-2015 I think I said it earlier in this thread, but I'm thinking about making another ///Mistake of the E46 variety. I just don't like owning newer cars and I want to own one of the E46 M3's before they get too old and shitty. I've got a real daily driver now so I don't have to worry about how livable whatever I get is. I'm not really looking to buy yet, but if anyone sees a good deal on a dark grey or some sort of blue one let me know. Manual only of course and the only option I really care about otherwise is that it has HID's. Jake Wrote:I hope it's something exclusive that you don't see just cruising around every day. That would just be absurd. I could always get another Evo, I do miss that car. Whatever I get, I'm probably going to stay under $20k. Yeah, I probably won't get an Evo, may as well try something different. I'm not big on Porsches, at least not anything older except the high end 911's. Besides the E46 M3 is about as low as I want to go power wise and even that is going to feel slow coming from my 135i. Any other cool cars in the under 20k range I'm not thinking of? No VWs/Audis. Edit: A 2007ish Cayman S wouldn't be so bad I guess, but whats maintenance like on these? I've always assumed Porsche's would be worse than BMW's but I haven't really looked into them. There's also the bad visibility vs a M3. That's one of the things I love about BMW coupes. Re: 2010 BMW 135i - SlimKlim - 08-27-2015 You can do a crazy ass Exocet build for just a hair over $20k. Now that you have the Xterra and all. Re: 2010 BMW 135i - RawrImAMonster - 08-27-2015 Haha I don't have the dedicated garage space for something like that. I just use my parents or grandparents garage when I'm working on my cars. Re: 2010 BMW 135i - SlimKlim - 08-27-2015 You just have to start with the small parts like the drivetrain, and over the course of a couple of months just keep displacing your parent's shit with kit car parts until an Exocet is living in there permanently and they aren't quite sure how it happened. Re: 2010 BMW 135i - JPolen01 - 08-27-2015 I don't think you'll find a decent cayman s for under 20k. They seem to be hovering around $26-30k for anything in good condition around 50-70k miles. |
