Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - TorinoCobra070 - 02-11-2012 Dave Wrote:Wow, good looking StarQuest there. Nice. Hoping to do something similar soon  Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - Goodspeed - 02-13-2012 '95 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec, 69k miles, Super Clear Red. MINE's "Basic" Upgrades - ECU, Intakes, Gauge cluster, Fujitsubo titanium exhaust, Bilstein c/o's with Tein upper mounts, HKS boost controller/turbo timer, Volk Challenge 18x10 wheels/275 Bridgestones. $25k in Great Falls, Montana. The car was imported into Florida originally and the front lip was damaged during shipping. Other than that it looks to be in great shape. The seller is surprisingly forward and upfront in his post, most of these are shady as hell  . He wrote a huge post about titling and registering, the car comes with a bunch of importation docs and can basically be state-registered but will never be federally legal (unless, perhaps, aftermarket side-impact crash structures are built into the doors as per Motorex's original arrangement with the US DOT for R33's - the only gray market Skylines technically allowed in this country). So, you can likely register it, but the man may come... Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - JPolen01 - 02-13-2012 Sorta want, but with all the fed bullshit and motorex fucking everyone over makes me not want anymore. Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - ScottyB - 02-13-2012 love the color. always liked the R32 and 33 way better than anything afterwards. agreed its a timebomb logistically. Motorex is the Hennessey of Nissans and the Gov't has already shown they'll come after stuff like this. and if you're only going to use it as a track car, i can't think of a worse idea. Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - HAULN-SS - 02-15-2012 Kind of want this aston martin: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1991-Aston-Martin-Virage-Very-Rare-21K-1-only-54-/310378581624?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4844014e78 Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - caa337 - 02-15-2012 It weighs almost 5000 pounds :o Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - CaptainHenreh - 02-15-2012 HAULN-SS Wrote:Kind of want this aston martin: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1991-Aston-Martin-Virage-Very-Rare-21K-1-only-54-/310378581624?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4844014e78 Scirocco tail lights. Lulz. Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - JPolen01 - 02-15-2012 God damn that thing is ugly. It looks like a 2 door verison of a legacy outback that has been slightly stretched. Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - .RJ - 02-15-2012 HAULN-SS Wrote:Kind of want this aston martin Only you. Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - BLINGMW - 02-15-2012 I like it  I mean, come on, you could spend 45 grand on like, a 5 series. Or you could be AWESOME ALL THE TIME with this thing. Engine signed by the builder? And look at that interior. YES. (does look like it needs to be lowered like 2 inches on just the rear for some reason....) Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - HAULN-SS - 02-16-2012 I dont think it needs to be lowered at all - that jacked up rear and raked front makes it look like a muscle car to me! The first thing I thought when I saw it was some sort of dodge from the 60s Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - HAULN-SS - 02-16-2012 BLINGMW Wrote:I like it  It's funny you say that - I have a buddy talking about buying an 08 M5 and I was trying to talk him out of that because its so damn bland looking..thats what got my searching for other possibilites. I also found some sweet ass maseratis that are under 50k for like an 08/09 model, which is ridiculous. He was worried about maintenance, and didnt get why I shrugged that off since he's considering an m5 anyway Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - WRXtranceformed - 02-16-2012 I actually kind of like it! I think it's overpriced but that is not something you are going to see every day. I would DREAD to see the repair costs on that thing though vs. even a BMW...which are probably frequent... Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - BLINGMW - 02-16-2012 yeah I have no clue on maintenance, could be a nightmare unless you know someone who can work on them. But hey, the BMW dealer is wicked expensive too. Heck, for less you could pimp around in one of these in fully restored condition http://www.bmwclassicparts.com/gallery/bmw/bmw-cs-coupes-for-sale/black-and-red+CS/ And finding someone who could work on it wouldn't be much of a problem. I don't know why enthusiasts buy new cars. :dunno: Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - HAULN-SS - 02-16-2012 Well this guy is not a wrenching enthusiast like the rest of us. I guess some newer Bimmers come with some kind of maintenance package? He claimed he'll never have to work on the 3 series he has right now..does that sound right? I agree with you though - if you dont mind working on them, nothing is too much of a scare as long as the parts arent retarded high, and available Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - Mike - 02-16-2012 .RJ Wrote:HAULN-SS Wrote:Kind of want this aston martin and channing. i appreciate some cool/old/odd shit, but that car sucks. Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - fiveoh2go - 02-16-2012 Cool tow rig with sledgehammer reliability = Amurican diesel powher I do need a new DD, and the "fun" car is paid for... Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - JPolen01 - 02-16-2012 fiveoh2go Wrote:Cool tow rig with sledgehammer reliability = Amurican diesel powherStupid low mileage. Not even close to broken in yet. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - HAULN-SS - 02-16-2012 Im suspicious of that. Those trucks rust like MFers (trust me, I looked for one like that for like 6 months), and that one is in NJ. Two, people didnt buy these typically to be garage queens. Also - who puts in an aftermarket stereo on a truck with 24k miles that at this point would be a collector more than anything? I wouldnt think the "one owner" who clearly let it sit in a garage for 16 years would care enough to do that.... anyway, those are the best looking trucks ford ever made. if they didnt rust all to hell I'm sure you'd see a bunch more of them still riding around Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - Jake - 02-16-2012 I think they're awesome trucks, based on looks alone. I grew up in 1990s Fords, and for whatever reason, those trucks really stand out to me now. Maybe I remember them from the showroom or something. |
