- Kaan - 01-24-2007 sand in our rivers go to the ocean... then to the bays... then off to the ocean... its the circle of life for the beach! this summer when you are at the beach... that sand thats rubbing your boys at the beach... it helped us poor SOBs in the NE drive around when the white stuff fell from the sky. - Kaan - 01-24-2007 depending the grade... its made of rocks. ![]() - Mike - 01-24-2007 Kaan Wrote:depending the grade... its made of rocks. gtfo. ![]() - Kaan - 01-24-2007 well it aint sand! - Apoc - 01-24-2007 Had you spread busted car/bike parts on your driveway you coulda gotten out. I know there's plenty around that house. - .RJ - 01-24-2007 Mike Wrote:not once did i tie sand and the barriers together, that must have been your imagination. Uh... herroooooo Mike Wrote:why do you think we attempt to contain all the particulates when breaking ground for new construction (that is what those silly black barriers are for)? so it doesn't get in our waterways! - Mike - 01-24-2007 .RJ Wrote:Mike Wrote:not once did i tie sand and the barriers together, that must have been your imagination. particulates = sediment again, sand is sediment, but not all sediment is sand. i'm not playing semantics here, i never drew a line between sand and the barriers, but when i said particulates you assumed i meant sand, which was incorrect on your part. - .RJ - 01-24-2007 Mike Wrote:particulates = sediment What is it with you and the semantics game? - HAULN-SS - 01-24-2007 haha! - Mike - 01-24-2007 .RJ Wrote:Mike Wrote:particulates = sediment :?: i never said anything about sand and construction zones! what is it with you and the silly game? the whole barrier thing was just a step to the conclusion, not any conclusion itself, which i think you're getting stuck on. sand = sediment (fact) sediment = bad (fact, that is why barriers are put in place to stop it) therefore sand = bad it really isn't rocket science. - white_2kgt - 01-24-2007 Mike Wrote:it really isn't rocket science. right, its ROCK science! woot! - Mike - 01-24-2007 1-point. - Sijray21 - 01-24-2007 Apoc Wrote:Sijray21 Wrote:i still think purchasing a snow blower (checked prices around $300 and more) for the DC metro area is a little overkill. in that case i'd use one too  - Hunter - 01-24-2007 Reading through this thread has made my afternoon. I think this has an easy solution, the roads should be not be covered with salt and sand, but pixie dust and glitter instead. It offers better grip and when it gets into the rivers and lakes the fish will all be able to fly and fart glitter! (its good for driveways too!) - Kaan - 01-24-2007 thats it... hunter is gay... its ok man... we wont judge you too much - Maengelito - 01-24-2007 Mike Wrote:for all your environmental needs? lol, fo' serious! - Hunter - 01-24-2007 Kaan Wrote:thats it... hunter is gay... its ok man... we wont judge you too much Damn, now I have to go lift weights or something. Actually gay people do that too. I have to go work on the sae formula car... I have beer down in the shop. (its a win win situation) - BLINGMW - 01-24-2007 so... that's it? Pointing out Mike's glaring misconception about sand only goes on for 4.5 pages? - .RJ - 01-24-2007 No, mike is right and everyone else has misconceptoins - thats why it took so long, gotta straighten everyone out ya know? - Mike - 01-25-2007 BLINGMW Wrote:so... that's it?
