Here's an example of that spoiler painted to match the paint color. They're only 88 bucks painted and shipped.
Not white, but you get the idea.

I love the diffuser.....but I dunno how I feel about the mesh in the diffuser. Makes it look cheap IMO, which I know it wasn't. Maybe its just me?

Here's a further back rear picture with my actual camera finally. I was going to take a video, but the battery died right before we started filming. I'll get one soon enough.
Click to zoom and you can see the carbon fiber weave fairly well. Not bad at all for a chinese knock off brand.

I saw a white one in Harrisonburg last summer. I was pretty surprised to see one here. Too bad they are still like $60k.
Mostly I just wish I had the flared body panels that the 1M's get. You can convert, but its pretty pricey.

I actually like stock wheels a lot. If I change them, it wont be for a while. There's a bunch of other stuff I want to do first. I might plastidip them black for the winter to protect them from the salt and change it up a bit.
Having said that, if I do change wheels I'll probably go for some Breyton GTS-R wheels. They're lightweight, not too expensive and look good on the 1 series.

I had not, but I don't think I'm ready to make another big purchase for the car just yet. Also, not sure if 328i offsets would be the same as the 1 series or not.

Well, I wasn't really planning on doing anything else to my car this year, but someone put up a set of the mid-pipes I wanted for a good deal used on the 1addicts forums.

I didn't even know he was looking for them, but I beat him to the punch :twisted:
I've been wanting a little more sound out of my exhaust setup so hopefully this will get the car where I want. From what I've heard on youtube, this combo produces a nice high pitched exotic tone.
Will update with video once I get these put on.

In other unrelated car updates, my comfort access stopped working on the drivers side for about 2 months and then randomly started working again better than ever. Oh German electronics.

I'm so glad I bought those mid-pipes. The exhaust sounds sooo damn good now. The N54 with the right exhaust setup is one of the best sounding motors BMW has made.
It ended up being a pain in the ass to put these on because the nuts that connected the downpipes to the midpipes were so rusted that I couldn't get any socket I had to fit on them. Even hammering a smaller socket onto one of the nuts wasn't enough to turn it. Eventually they had to be heated up to the point of glowing red and cooled before they would come off.
Made a short video of a couple revs. It already has a nice exotic tone in this video, but it sounds way better under load. I'll try to get another video of a drive-by this weekend.

Well, this is not what I expected. And a quick perusal on CL shows that the 135 & 335 can be had in nice shape for $20k or less.
Maybe I'll buy one when the Audi burns to the ground.
