Very cool audi RJ and that site has some other very cool cars.

That audi is way way expensive thought. A guy locally just bought one for 4500, in nice stock condition. They are rare though. My friend has a basic 83 audi GT, that same body style, just not wide body and FWD. Also has basic 5 cylinder motor not turbocharged. We cut up an old 4000 to steal the quatto system, and floor pan. and he has a 5 cylinder turbo motor for it. You can also buy flares from an aftermaket company. But he will basically have a UR quattro when its all said and dont for a lot less money but a TON of labor.

I have the same problem. I wonder if I really got, say, a really really nice 71 TA (455 and a 4 speed) if I would ever want to drive anything else ever again?

Mmmmm 2nd gen T/A. Its kinda neat how its made the resurgence from utter crap to cool Americana (at least the post '73 cars)

The greatest has to be the Year One cars

"Ah, whose car is that out front?"
"Mine...1970 Pontiac Firebird. The car I always wanted and now I have it. I rule!"

Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - D_Eclipse9916 - 12-10-2009

God I hate what he did to the exterior of both cars. Props on doing what looks like good work to the engine on the RX-7, but good god that Supra is foul. I wouldnt even want to be caught dead riding in that car. Return the Supra to stock (and get rid of that terrible blue hoses etc.), and return the RX7 to stock or JDM front bumper/lights and it would be goddamn sexy (With a change away from HP Evo wheels/whatever knockoff they are). Thats my personal preference.

And im totally guilty of not having the most beautiful cars, but I never made an attempt to make em pretty. Hell, I put the ugliest hood vent on the gsx in the world, but it brought down my temps on track that it was worth it.

If he did that it wouldn't be an "Ultra Rare" "Japanese Supercars" and he wouldn't be able to ask 18 large for it.

Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - Mike - 12-10-2009

guys, come on... it has an "ultra rare Varis rear bumper"... you don't see those every day. you know, rare pieces of plastic.

Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - BLAIR - 12-10-2009

those cars pretty much sum up harrisonburgs local car scene.... :vomit:

Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - D_Eclipse9916 - 12-10-2009

*saving spot for when somebody comes in saying "you guys dont have cool cars etc, youll never have a SUPRRAAARRRR OR RX7, you guys are just jealous!"

Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - Goodspeed - 12-10-2009

LOL, you guys are hateful. I believe he bought the Supra more or less like that with intentions of building it his own way, but decided to get another as a better starting point, or so he told me. And the 7 is a show car, IIRC he won a trophy at hyperfest with it, if thats what he built it for and it makes him happy more power to him 'cause F what we think.

High mileage + ugly ass Zinc Yellow paint = cheap

That car is a little rough around the edges, and I'm guessing there are probably a couple other reasons why it's so cheap...

i'd be lying if i said i didn't expect the owner to come in here and turn out to be a nice guy/poop on all of us for hating. unfortunately, i'd still tell him i hate his taste.

The seller of the vehicle claims that the high-revving S2000 engine has been upgraded and now develops around 268-horsepower which should be more than enough output for such a lightweight coupe.

The owner of the car took the build a step further adding a Honda S2000 digital instrument panel, a pair of 2005 Celica GT sports seats and a four-point roll cage, just to mention a few of the mods.

If you're interested, the 1977 Celica GT with the Honda heart is up for sale over at Hemmings for a "negotiable $18,000".
