it would also be nice to be able to rent a full size dump trailer and redo my gravel driveway for the price of the trailer (yes we have free gravel here)... instead of the several thousand dollars folks want to drop stone in their dump trucks.
A slightly bigger truck would be nice but not necessary... i've lived with a Tundra this long.

Sure, and trucks are *much* nicer places to spend time in, tow better, are safer, better features and all, its definitely worth getting into something you dont have to worry about thats comfortable all day....
But, is it worth an extra $10 or $20k to tow a whole horse farm at 80mph up a mountain? That was my counterpoint. If it is, more power (literally) to you. Even something 'simple' like a newer V8 F150 is pretty amazing.

When I bought mine I had no idea it was a thing, and the window sticker says it has one installed (wonder if I can make them install one lol), but I monitor transmission temp with a scan gauge and haven't noticed any real difference between the '10 and '20 in transmission temperatures. Both had the "towing package"

Scott is talking about a transmission cooler, which his truck has as indicated on the window sticker. The newer Tundras do not have an engine oil cooler.

Scott is talking about a transmission cooler, which his truck has as indicated on the window sticker. The newer Tundras do not have an engine oil cooler.
Jake is correct. According to the internet, beginning with 2020 Tundra's they removed the external transmission cooler, even though the window sticker says it has one. I can confirm there is not one external.

i'm not sure what you major malfunction is... when a used Tundra and 2500 cost the same... why not go with the bigger truck? Thats the dilemma
