Actually Pontiac came out with it, but Saturn was smart to use the chassis and engine.

I thought it was more of a "GM Created it, and released it to two of it's divisions".

Also, how can you possibly tell from a spy shot if something is turbocharged? Maybe it's Supercharged? Maybe it's a rotary with pistons and headers?
