no, I didn't want to bother him if the job was going to be in DC. I just had dinner with some DHS govies last night at Chef Geoff's.

It's quite possible that the 31k bid was a joke too.....

I could even see that setup going for maybe 5 or 6 grand if everything was in sealed, original boxes and had never been used. That's all used old games though. A true collector could piece together that lot for much cheaper either through Ebay or through toy stores. Hell, you could probably even find some stuff on craigslist.

$31,000 to me was a joke at first glance.

- Hunter - 01-30-2007

Well it's back down to $25k... I guess some of that was a joke.

was just guessing based on the bidder's history. the person @ 31k seemed pretty legit.

Here's the NES starter kit. Seem way overpriced.

Yea I'll say waaay over priced. I might pay him $75 though.

I got my first Nintendo with about 30 games (tons of rare ones I've never even seen since) by trading a paper bag full of Monster in My Pocket trading cards I used to get at 7-11. Once I went in there and the guy gave me every single pack he had since nobody wanted them and I had quadruples of every single one
