No they just don't care what Ryan thinks of them. I've gotten just about all of my vacation requests and requests for time at home Smile.

I'll hold on to your car Jack. That way when you're in town you won't have to rent one, I'll just hand the keys back over.

why would you want something this slow?

- bluhayz - 02-08-2005

How bout you just give it to me, I'll give it premium gas, and take good care of it, oil change every 1.5k mi. I'll wash it when it's dirty, and sew up any holes and cracks in the old 14 year leather. I might be able to give you 2k for it? and my 240 ?

rotaries require plutonium

that's just because they're afraid they'll have to hear some "and you will know my name is the lord when I lay my vengence upon thee!" shit or something.

and congrats on the job Jack! I'd go for a nice 98-00 Impreza RS and not bother with boost. Those things are strong!

- JackoliciousLegs - 02-09-2005

but i can pay 2k more and get a wrx... hard not to.

- KPWSerpiente - 02-09-2005

For the love of God, if you want to track it...buy an Evo.

I will not buy that car. Yes it is fast, but I don't enjoy driving it.
My reasons after driving several of them:
Laggy boost
Vague clutch
Shitty transmission (not fun to shift)
tires will be outrageously expensive and get worn FAST
shitty interior... i hate the dash
I don't want my DD to be running 19.5psi all the time

Good points:
It turns great
I like the way it looks

WRX is plenty capable on track, and does not have a rattletrap-shitbox interior like the Evo.

mike = :?:

Pretty obvious the comparison was wrx vs. rx7... boxer > rotary because its not an unreliable, fuel sucking, overheating-prone, vacuum line rats nest oil spewing mess Wink

but it weighs less (i think), is smaller, and can be placed in a position to improve the weight balance of the vehicle.

still - are you for or against which car? which doesn't have grip? which has 2 doors?

he wants to see what tractions feel like.

I am for the WRX and against the RX7 TurboII Mikey. The TurboII doesn't have grip especially in rainy, snowy, shitty conditions where as the WRX would have ample amounts of traction in those conditions. 4 doors are better than 2 doors because you can move all your shit in less trips and can bring your foolish friends around with you when have a night on the town. You can only bring one friend in the TurboII. Do ya get the drift there buddy?

- Mike - 02-09-2005

a) the turbo 2 handles better (except in inclement weather, duh).
b) the rx7 has 3 doors.

- .RJ - 02-09-2005

MichaelJComputer Wrote:a) the turbo 2 handles better

I wouldnt go that far.

At least not stock vs. stock - the 2nd gen 7 has some weard passive steer geometry going on in the rear suspension. Never mind that the WRX wont be full of worn out bushings and blown shocks.

Ah ok, well that makes them no different from the rest of us.

.RJ Wrote:All of the BS surrounding the move and the un-kept promises about what was supposed to happen once I did move has left me kind of sore, not to mention they havent honored a single vacation request since I've started.

Edit: The pay and benefits package is good, and after my year here is up I'd like to consider other options with PEC, but I will probably be looking elsewhere as well. I dont think the company as a whole sucks as they have some pretty good defense contract work, but I did walk into a bit of a shitstorm with this position.

workin for the govt has taught me to get everything in writing. workin for the govt also kicks ass even though the pay isnt as good. i only work every other friday (including the fri before VIR) and i have that monday off too, so i wont be rushing back sunday night getting ready for work the next day, suckas!
