Sigh. Bethania said the powdercoaters screwed the pooch on my rollbar, so it probably won't be shipping until Friday. So much for celebrating MLK with part installs.

After constant delays, got the rollbar installed. Took two days due to work and stripped threads, but it's in now. Pics for now, write up when I'm not icing my back. Glad to see it's in and you were able to do it yourself. I'm glad mine was not as much of a pain as what I saw you went through but at least it's in. Harnesses and seats are much easier

Honestly it wasn't that bad, just those stripped threads set us back 3 hours. Everything else was simple, I'd gladly help whomever gets one next coughyoujamestaylorcaiocaugh

Think it was from the angle of the bolt. The main hoop is situated just in front of the hole where the bolt goes so it's hard to get in straight in. Apparently it happens more often than it should, according to some forums.

Probably doing a hyperdrive in February to make sure everything does okay then going DE the rest of the year!

Yeah, not too concerned about it. This car isn't mint, it's not gonna stay mint. I thought about if it would scratch the paint for about .5 seconds and threw it up there anyway.

Hey hey, I have decent tires. Just a super shitty top and paint.

Next up: dual row radiator and coolant flush, then trans and diff fluid changes. Kind of putting a replacement top on the backburner and pushing for stuff to make it reliable for track days. Especially after it only leaked a drop of water while sitting out for four hours in our current monsoon weather.

That was a compliment! I loved my car senior year with just a rollbar and beat all seasons. Shoulda left it that way, at least for a while longer. Super fun around town.

Hooray for some finally decent weather. Loving this car more each day and can't wait to get it out for some track days.

Just a quick cruise by myself the other say. couldn't push it, got stuck behind a tractor, but the car seems to keep wanting to go. just waiting to see what the first hyperdrive decides to do to it.
