if any of you jokers were actually serious i'd go look at it for you. it's so beautiful i really want to see it in MM!

- Mike - 12-04-2008

might as well go take a peek Tongue

- Evan - 12-04-2008

holy crap I want that. If it is rust-free and the swap is done well then Id definately consider a road trip

- Dave - 12-04-2008

Scotty, it sounds like you need to go look at it for rust just to quell the uprising on this thread...

- Evan - 12-04-2008

you mean the uprising in my pants

- ScottyB - 12-04-2008

i PM'ed him about the rust. we'll see. i'll take a look if you guys want. i mean, 7k for that thing just seems outrageously good. maybe he's in $$ trouble?

i also offered him my car as a trade. if he takes that i'm proper F'd.

- ScottyB - 12-04-2008

ok, response:

"Hey Scotty, the car has none of the rust from the usual areas. The ONLY thing is the rear hatch has a few small bubbles on it. In terms of every other body panel floors battery tray frame rails trunk etc there is nothing at all. No bodywork has been done on the car either whatsoever."

somebody move on this NOW. this thing will likely sell locally within the weekend if this ad spreads to the other atlanta import forums.

- WRXtranceformed - 12-04-2008

Whoever picks it up can visit me in Charlotte on the way back up!

- Evan - 12-04-2008

damn damn damn. you're probably right Scotty, but thats still a big chunk of change to commit to sight unseen.

Fly down and look at it, drink with scotty, drive home (or not).

i'm not an expert, but i can look for the obvious, see how it runs, ask about the history of it, etc. at the very least, i guarantee that if you buy a car like that you can sell it for equal or greater value -- how many non-rusted Z's are up where you guys are? with running RB motors?

also i like beer and will buy you beer if you come down and chill.

FWIW i also know many people on that forum. Alex_ATL is a good guy from what i understand so its not like i'm driving into the hood and taking a chance with some 16 year old crackhead.

- Ole - 12-04-2008

Why is he selling it?

- ScottyB - 12-04-2008

Ole Wrote:Why is he selling it?

i think its because he has too many cars and needs one gone. he has a couple 510's and new the Z would sell, maybe?

- Mike - 12-04-2008

someone tell me why this is a bad idea.

- Mike - 12-04-2008

so im guessing about 240 to the wheels on a 2400lb car that happens to be one of my favorite cars of all time...

gdfjkghdjkghkfhkgdfjhkg

scotty, can i have the guy's e-mail address?

Other than that it's a car, older than most of us, equipped with a non-stock engine that was never sold in the united states; it's a great idea.

keep going, please.

- Evan - 12-04-2008

shit, getting parts would be tough. even an sr20 would be better
edit: no heat?

- Mike - 12-04-2008

yeah the no heat thing is the biggest thing putting me off now. if he has parts, great, if we can put them on down there...

i just realized i actually have a small orange model 240z sitting on top of my cube. jdslkgkldfg... this is some evil shit.

- CaptainHenreh - 12-04-2008

Actually guys, parts aren't the worst in the world. The head, intake, exhaust, and valve cover gaskets are the worst. Alot of other shit is just parts bin stuff.

And if you guys can't rig a heater, I'm ashamed of you.
