- Apoc - 09-06-2006 You've never been a fan of boats so I guess you're predispositioned not to like it. - ViPER1313 - 09-06-2006 Like your ride too - LT1 hotness Wish I had RWD..... I like the SilverStars on my car (plus my ghetto fabulous aiming job that is great for me but not so good for other drivers.) I've had no problems with durability either.
- Ryan T - 09-06-2006 SStratman Wrote:Hey Ryan: Yea, I love this car, used to have a 1986 Lincoln Continental and this Impala SS is way nicer both comfort and of course power! I've actually owned 2 LT1's. I had a 97 SS camaro first and later got a 96 Z28, both black, both 6-speeds. - Evan - 09-06-2006 .RJ Wrote:My opinion remains that they were never really cool, 500hp or not.we didnt all have rich mommies and daddies to buy us hot new saturns in highschool! - SStratman - 09-06-2006 Haha, yea it is big but hey like i said i had a 86 conti before that so it wasnt a big change and it handles very well, and I plan to upgrade both sway bars and make feel even lighter in the future too, that and the fact that many a cars i get next to at lights are actually sitting higher than my car so i also love the lower center of gravity unlike my old conti That and shes 4,000lbs thank you!!! lol Shes 2Tons O' Fun, my heavy chevy! hah And in all seriousness thanks for everybodies welcome, glad our school has a motorsports club - .RJ - 09-06-2006 Evan Wrote:we didnt all have rich mommies and daddies to buy us hot new saturns in highschool! The OG LunchboxÔäó was 6 years old when they helped me buy it, dummy ![]() I later sold it and bought the doo-doo brown land-on-a-tire-wall LunchboxÔäó in '01. - Apoc - 09-06-2006 Is this where we recollect our first cars? I paid my sister $1500 for her '86 Accord... in '96. - SStratman - 09-06-2006 So HAULN-SS, I am from Poquoson, VA (newport news area, 45min N of VA Beach) but Roanoke isnt too bad from here and my gf has grandparents there so thats a possibility. Especially when kit from flowmaster is h-pipe and only 2.25" but we'll see What are you drivin? - Ryan T - 09-06-2006 As long as were recollecting first cars, that'd be a 1987 non turbo automatic supra. Older brother gave it to me. - BLAIR - 09-06-2006 always have liked the impala SS's - ScottyB - 09-06-2006 Evan Wrote:My first car was a 1981 Caprice Classic w/ new black paint, chrome trim and chrome wire wheels. Such a great car, I still have a soft spot for caprices. you feelin ok big guy? - HAULN-SS - 09-06-2006 I just bought a 2006 Legacy GY Limited, and I have a 1986 Monte Carlo SS at home that I drive sometimes. I have a non-driveable 1971 Monte Carlo project in the works under a tarp right now...and as for cars I have owned... First Car - 1969 Chevy C10 3 on a tree pickup 1995 Geo Metro, 1987 Monte Carlo LS, 1994 S10 Blazer - all those in that order and sold. - Scrubber - 09-06-2006 .RJ Wrote:My opinion remains that they were never really cool, 500hp or not. Theres another maroon one around here driven by a basketball player (I think)....big stereo and bigger rimzzz - Scrubber - 09-06-2006 .RJ Wrote:Scrubber Wrote:Thats why nobody likes you! Itsa PuRk of GraDuAshun! BTW, sweet avatar! - SStratman - 09-06-2006 Yea can you believe that of the one other impala ss around here its even same damn DCM color, wonder if its a 96 if not whatever i dont like column shifter. But yea I see that one around every once and awhile I used to have 20" 150spoke rims but I like the stock SS wheels way better and keep the car lower how it was designed to handle. By the way I got a big stereo just no sub setup, but heavier allaround stereo I bet that guy didnt do too much to his regular speakers. And my main mod so far is 6.5" speakers in front cause anyone that knows my car knows stock it has that 4x6 GM crap up front! That and the custom made cold air intake, that sounds nice when i get on the gas! Ohh and I think I have him beat on the bling billet grill and side scripts hah - SStratman - 09-06-2006 I also love my clear corners and silverstar turn bulbs complete that look (stock u can see from pic Evan posted in 1st page of this post) ![]() and heres my side gauges in blue for my silver-faced gauge overlay comin soon!

Nice SS man, I'm a big fan of cult cars. I myself was never a Caprice person...I liked the older square one better. First cars- 1986 Dodge 600 Convertible $200...never actually drove it on the road 1991 Chrysler Lebaron Convertible, V6 - got it for $1500...sold it two years later (+New engine and tranny) for $3500. |
