The e30s I have heard running 0w30 have horrible valve tick. Its best suited for a 10w40 to 20w50. But on this Euro junk and some of the older turbo cars the oil choice for the time of year can be a big big deal. Turbos can be blown from multiple starts with to thin an oil. Too thick an oil can not allow proper flow to the turbo. I'm sure the BMW is about the same. - WRXtranceformed - 12-19-2005 I picked up a new oil filter for the STI. Tried the Purolator PureOne. It was like a dollar or two more than the standard... though I'd try it out. |
