possibly.

RJ (Honda Challenge H4) pushed Evan (Spec Miata) to the pole at summit point once.

-T10 to Control
-Control go ahead
-The integra has made contact with the Miata coming your way
-Start to Control, I can confirm
-Control to T10 and Start, Don't worry, they know each other

Love it.

Eric Wong once gave me a push across the finish to try and help me catch someone else. Wasn't quite enough but was very close. Made me laugh a lot during and after.

Woah, was not expecting to see that. Outta nowhere. Was wondering why he was not at the track lately. Saving to get the car ready for comp school apparently

He's driving Tian's car. I think he's done with his e30. His car has M3 drive gear and a bunch of other stuff that'll never make it legal for Spece30

Thread hi-jack since you're all here anyways.

What bake pad are you guys running on your tow vehicle. I have hawk something up front maybe +'s? Or hps's if those are things but they dust like crazy.

Looking for something better than an off the shelf AutoZone pad

The top tier AutoZone pads have a lifetime warranty iirc. Just send it with those

I put Hawk LTS on my Yukon and gray F-150 and really liked them. Not a fan of their pads for track use but the tow pads were great.

RE: NASA-MA March Madness 2019 - Jake - 03-25-2019

I'm sitting at work and gatdamn this was a fun weekend. Will share more once I have photos/video/data all downloaded but my big highlight was a burst of confidence/cojones/something that got me solidily and repeatedly into the 2:10.xx club over the weekend. Last year, I ran a single, high 2:11.xx lap with a handful of 12s/13s and just couldn't crack that nut otherwise. I'm feeling better with the new suspension and the car is just spot on now.

It's back to FlimFlamSpeed for a new clutch, after 22 years and 158k on the one BMW installed in Germany.

Some photos:

Stickered up Taylor's car (which, btw, drives very well)

Played the fuel game on Friday's fun race and won, but baaaaarely. Wasn't sure if the cooldown lap would find me needing a tow truck.

Nighttime fun:

Tian lost a brake caliper bolt, which went poorly. Thankfully he controlled the car and didn't hit anything or get hurt. Replaced everything and ran it the rest of the weekend.

I did end up on a tow truck during Saturday's race due to a kill switch failure. Car died at ~90 mph going down the hill to Oak Tree. Coasted it to South Paddock entrance. We fixed it and ran it Sunday with no issues, but it's getting a new switch.

I turned around, saw this, and immediately thought "squad goals" - MM does it right.

I'll add more details on the build thread but the car felt great. Everyone pitched in to keep me out there. Old tires were the end of my weekend before going out there solo. My move to DE3 may come sooner than I expected.

NASA-MA March Madness 2019 - Sully - 03-27-2019

Those Zima racing hats we're pretty awesome, just saying.

Also, if any of you guys know a Honda challenge guy who's getting rid of a decent s2k trunk liner, I'm in the market for a cheap to free one.

RE: NASA-MA March Madness 2019 - D_Eclipse9916 - 03-27-2019

I had my car issues but overall another fun weekend.  Sorry to not interact with all the current students as much as I would have liked, but 30 degrees isn't conducive with a 2 year old.  April or May events should be a lot easier to hang out with everyone outside.

Eli is absolutely loving the track which is pretty cool.  Monday morning he woke up shouting race cars, sorry buddy, we are home!

Very little time to prep for April Summit but we will be there!
