lol, they lost me after S2, it got st00000000pid
+1. Was great then started to suck. Was a huge fan of walking dead then they killed off Tyrone man.

The only show that has kept me captivated for all seasons is GoT.

So I've been watching this reboot of the old Robot Wars show (used to watch in the early 00's) called Battle Bots on ABC. It is just mindless fun and some of the machines are truly awesome. A couple highlights from last nights episode:

I watched a few minutes of that last night. It was awesome and exactly how I remembered it. The little flame throwing guy was awesome.

I love Game of Thrones. Normally I'm not terribly interested in medieval fiction but GoT is my favorite show right now. However, with all of the characters getting killed I think I'm at the point where I'm rooting for the White Walkers to roll through and kill everyone.

A show that has surprised me is Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. It is definitely the funniest new show I've come across in awhile.

Daredevil is also surprisingly good. Haven't watched all of it but it's dark and gritty like the Dark Knight series. Not cheesy at all, even a bit gruesome at times.

i'm with you. favorite show right now, but its literally getting exhausting trying to figure out who to even care about anymore, because someone's going to get stabbed/immolated/flailed/beheaded/fatalitied every episode. this season in particular broke my heart a bit. by the last episode i was just like...well, shit? now what?

This was a good mindless watch. Very funny.

I've learned with this show that any time someone has a touching moment, or a small moment of triumph, the chances of their death in that episode or the next jumps dramatically. "Daddy I'd like to help anyway I can..." I think that was the most horrifying scene in the whole show for me. Way beyond cold-blooded.

Re: The TV Show Thread *Possible Spoilers* - SlimKlim - 06-29-2015

After the Red Wedding I can't be shocked by GOT anymore. That scene I was just like "Meh kinda figured," I figured the final scene of the season had to happen at some point, and the shit cersei and sansa went through this season was more standard GOT fare. Honestly I thought the last season was boring. Or maybe not so much boring, but the previous 4 seasons have just been this cocktease of an impending war full of whitewalkers and direwolves and dragons and shit, I just wanna get there! Enough of this melodramatic interpersonal shit and petty murdering, I want global GOT war already.

Re: The TV Show Thread *Possible Spoilers* - G.Irish - 06-29-2015

Even knowing that scene was coming, "Davos, why don't you ride back to Castle Black..." that was still really fucked up. Burning your own child at the stake was way more shocking that the wedding stabathon. Maybe that's because since I've known Chan, a stabbing breaking out at a meal doesn't surprise me anymore.

Re: The TV Show Thread *Possible Spoilers* - JustinG - 06-29-2015

Can we talk about what happened in the last 90 seconds of True Detective last night????

This is exactly what reading the books is like, however, I prefer the way the show did it. Having <spoiler> be stabbed by the men of <spoiler> made no sense in the book since <spoiler.person> was all riding off to fight the Boltons which made no goddamn sense at all, either from a character perspective or a narrative one. The way it was handled by the show made a lot more sense.

My guess is that next season will be a 'flashback' season combined with actually seeing what Bran and Company have been doing with the crow and children of the forest, then the final season is gonna be The Triumphant Return and Dragons vs Winter...

Re: The TV Show Thread *Possible Spoilers* - SlimKlim - 06-29-2015

Jesus Christ, another season of dawdling? I might skip it and just catch the recap in the first episode of the final season.

 Dont get me wrong, it was fucking horrifying, it's just, that's exactly what I've come to expect from GOT now, I would've been more shocked if someone saved her.

Talk. Idk what the fuck to make of it, all I know is I wish it was Sunday already.

SPOILER
I was not expecting that at all, but we know he isn't dead. The guy wearing the mask is unknown at this point except for that he was also the same person driving the Caddy with Caspere in the backseat. The crow mask reminded me of the villain's creepy face from S1.

Re: The TV Show Thread *Possible Spoilers* - SlimKlim - 06-29-2015

Was there a flash forward or something so we know he makes it? I was optimistic until the double tap.

The only thing I noticed was in the preview of the next episode, the Vinci PD guy said "one of my guys was shot", not killed, but I'm with you - point blank 12 ga. to the gut Confusedhock:

Just binged watched all of Season 1 of True Detective
[Image: 129157477066831452.gif]

Absolutely amazing. I liked everything about it, I can't even pick and choose I feel like I could write or talk for days about that season. Perfect. It started so slow I was actually gonna give up but then half way through episode 4 and it started to grab me. Then the last 30 mins of the last episode just had me on the edge of my seat. The writing was by far the best part, even when it was slow I found it very interesting. If you're reading this and haven't seen it, go watch it.

Re: The TV Show Thread *Possible Spoilers* - *insertusernamehere* - 07-02-2015

And now i'm completely up to speed. Meh. I'll keep watching, I guess.

I didn't see anything in that scene that tells me he wasn't shot with a less than lethal shotgun load, like bean bags or big rubber pellets, which would make his survival more likely.
