I am unfortunately out Sad I guess this is the only weekend my brother can come and visit me.

...25-27 minutes is "blink and you're done?" Always seemed long enough to me.
as per many years of nasa experience, 25 minutes on the schedule is not 25 minutes in reality. But Im not interested in that debate, the question is, are the sessions longer than on race weekends.
4x25 per day is a nice amount of track time

Re: Summit Point • November 2-3 • NASA Fall Finale - getfast - 10-21-2013

Yes you'll get more track time than you would on a race weekend. No race groups on the schedule makes that possible.

Cleanups happen and it affects session times, that is certainly not NASA specific. However, fall finale is not a regular weekend, it's structurally closer to something like a FATT... we've done four of these since you last ran with NASA, I believe, and they're lovely events  Are you coming out of retirement?

This is seriously going to be "project car" central in the MM paddock.

Pete's Merkur XR4ti
Navin's Hype-R
My LS1/M3
My RX7 ChumpCar
Possibly Evan, most likely not Elise

I'm more than likely bringing the Civic, didn't realize it was just about a week away..! But i'd still bring as many tools as you can, because we know the year I've been having Sad

Re: Summit Point • November 2-3 • NASA Fall Finale - JPolen01 - 10-23-2013

Anyone from the burg heading to summit Sunday for the day? I have to work Saturday so I can no longer go for the weekend. I need a ride though or someone can drive my car.

Re: Summit Point • November 2-3 • NASA Fall Finale - Tyler.M - 10-29-2013

Re: Summit Point • November 2-3 • NASA Fall Finale - Jake - 10-29-2013

M3 is getting re-aligned today after the RTAB install last week. Was told my tie rods have some play. Told the guy to align it anyway so I could make the weekend happen, I'll deal with the #twerkteam front end after Summit.

Also, my fender liner is rubbing the tire. Time to cut more of it off.

Re: Summit Point • November 2-3 • NASA Fall Finale - JPolen01 - 10-29-2013

Or just let it rub itself until it don't rub no mo'

I didn't know plastic and rubber, when allowed to contact each other at 40 mph, could make such an awful noise.

*insert off-color joke here*

I'd rather just cut more of it out.

Re: Summit Point • November 2-3 • NASA Fall Finale - getfast - 10-29-2013

The right front liner on mine has been wonky for almost 2 years. I have fixed it at least 3 times then it unfixes itself a week later. I like the noise by now, it reminds me that I'm parking...

Mine just reminds me that I am, in fact, in motion at all.

Maybe it's the german car version of http://deerwhistle.com/

Re: Summit Point • November 2-3 • NASA Fall Finale - SlimKlim - 10-29-2013

I tried the rub-til-it-dont rub method once a few years ago. That material is surprisingly durable, ended up trimming the excess out after a few weeks with a pair of tin snips.

Or get some zip ties and fix it? Fender liners are huge for aero (especially on an m3), try to keep as much of them as possible. I had new ones I put on the race car I found it that important...
