RE: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - Senor_Taylor - 04-12-2018 E30 with period correct body kit? YES https://jalopnik.com/at-6-000-could-this-zenderized-1987-bmw-325is-make-yo-1825171185 RE: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - WRXtranceformed - 04-13-2018 Seems like it would make more sense to me to buy one of these and then GTE swap it or do whatever than buying an original Turbo. Still more cost effective than buying a Turbo apparently: https://www.japaneseclassics.com/vehicle/1993-toyota-supra-sz-jza80/ RE: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - Sijray21 - 04-13-2018 mmmm.... still one of the best looking cars of the 90s RE: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - WRXtranceformed - 04-13-2018 Ok this one is cool...for sale at Driver Motorsports in Rustburg: https://www.facebook.com/DriverMotorsports/posts/1884575298272165 Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - Senor_Taylor - 04-18-2018 Daily reminder that place is in my home town of like 1400 people. No idea how they're in business. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk RE: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - JPolen01 - 04-18-2018 I would venture to guess that a lot of their customers are buying over the phone and having cars shipped to them. Still is a bit odd because Rustburg isn't really near a port which must keep their import/transportation costs pretty high. I guess rent is cheap in Rustburg though. RE: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - DavidL - 04-18-2018 Haha I spent a lovely three days in Rustburg in January blowing stuff up for testing! Wish I would have known about that dealer, I would have stopped by. Yup, thats the place RE: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - WRXtranceformed - 04-19-2018 For $17.9K this seems like a no brainer for someone here: Available now from Driver Motorsports is this awesome RHD JDM FD RX7! This 1992 Twin Turbo 5 speed R1 RX7 is for sale in the USA, it is 100% legal, customs-cleared, with a valid Virginia title, all importation documents and offered at $17,900. Mods: WORK CR Kai wheels Mazdaspeed Coilovers Apexi Exhaust 99 Spec Front Bumper Raybrig Foglights 3rd Gen FD RX7's are some of the most fun to drive cars out there! You have to experience it to really understand how good these cars handle. This RX7 is in OK condition, the paint is maybe 6 out of 10 and the interior a 7 out of 10. A little under our usual standard of car and we believe in being straight forward with buyers. She has some quality parts on her (nice WORK CR Kai wheels) and she runs and drives great, also she is not rusty and that's a major thing. So here is your opportunity to own a 3rd Gen RX-7 for mid teens over the normal price of mid twenties. Come test drive this amazing car and see for yourself why we believe them to be some of the most capable cars ever made. Please private message, text or email us for financing options. Just seems like a pain. I would think I would much rather have a USDM RX7. Now it just seems ricey here (I know it really isn't, but it seems that way). F-that nonsense. RE: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - Senor_Taylor - 04-19-2018 (04-19-2018, 09:28 AM)D_Eclipse9916 Wrote: Do people really enjoy RHD? Just seems like a pain. I would think I would much rather have a USDM RX7. We had a Volvo 1800 (England delivery and lived most of it's life there) and RHD was fun for a few minutes. The novelty wore off pretty quickly. RE: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - Goodspeed - 05-10-2018 Man....the JUN Akira Supra I raved about in the H&B'ed thread a while back is now for sale in Australia. If I was stinkin' rich, I'd bring this stateside and run NASA Super Unlimited or something with it. Such a legend. RE: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - ScottyB - 05-10-2018 i still remember when i first saw the powerslide video i sat in awe of that primal howl at the end as it passed, just revs, boost, and tires being evaporated at 11 on the volume dial. especially since back then supras were sort of mythical since people were still finding the power ceiling on the 2JZ. i still have the video somewhere in a pile of ancient CDs that i burned, of all the cool car stuff i could find on limewire/kazaa... I was right there with you - that powerslide was probably one of the first 3 Supra videos I ever watched nearly 20 years ago now (my god.) Here's the full clip: A 1:01 at Tsukuba back in those days was pretty earth-shattering. Oh, I almost forgot - for a time, JUN bumped it from 800 to 1200hp with big twin turbos, did some aero work, and turned it into a land speed racer. It went 249mph at Bonneville before going dormant for many years before it returned to time attack duty. Man I love that car. Every time I see it, I get bad ideas of building a MKIV track monster one day. The US could certainly use more of them that take cornering seriously as they were meant to do (the head engineer of the MKIV program has been quoted on record as being dismayed by how many Americans use them for only drag racing). That'd be swell. |
