Really, this is a steal guys.

Quaife: $1500
Tweecer RT: $500
Suspension: $700
Seats: $200->$300 each
Short Shifter (only 30-40 in existance) $300
Y-Pipe: $300
Cams: $300
Front Brake Setup: $600->$1000

Even if you were just looking to make some cash this car is a freakin goldmine. And it's local.

- Mike - 10-14-2008

so why don't you take out some cash on a 0% credit card, resell, and profit?

- ViPER1313 - 10-15-2008

I'm tempted to switch the front clip on my SHO / this car and resell. Just don't know if I have the time.

FLAME ON: and it would burn the shit out of a GSR swapped hatch.

- Mike - 10-15-2008

i didn't need the reminder as to how ignorant you are, but thanks anyway.

edit: contact the guy, ask him some lap times. i spent 20 minutes of searching to find that the only shos that i can find lap times for are 15% slower than itc cars. at summit, i (in my car) am 5% faster than an itc car. and you're saying i can have another 40hp?

will you please come to the track in it one day? i don't go to the track these days, but i'll make special arrangements just to dump on you.

- Dave - 10-15-2008

Honestly, I would bet this car hauls ass. If I had the insane passion for SHOs that Adam does, I'd already have it on the trailer on the way to my house. Likewise, if I was looking for another track car, this would be an excellent choice.

That said, I'm with Mikey on this one. Adam, regardless of how much time you have, it would be worth it to buy it and just take any goodies you want and put them in your car. Or maybe recognize that DSMs are turds and make this your fun track car...

Because SHO's are so much better?

I cant beleive im saying this, but I agree with Mike too. This would be a much better track car than the dsm, I hadnt realized till I had driven this 1g how much different they are than 2gs. Its gonna take a lot of work in the 1g to get it where it needs to be. I say get the SHO and sell the dsm for profit, hell all the maintenance is done, you could probably sell it for a good 4 grand if not more if you can dupe somebody.

- Goodspeed - 10-15-2008

Adam, as the SHO guy, if you don't buy this god damn car, you are dead to me. DEAD.

You have one day.

- WRXtranceformed - 10-15-2008

If you could recruit the costs from selling your DSM now that it's running... why not go for it man?? It sounds like the perfect car for you.

- ViPER1313 - 10-15-2008

I would but I have no place to keep it / could never get it through MD state inspection.

- Dave - 10-15-2008

Uhh, most people don't get state inspections done on racecars.
If you have a place for your DSM, you have a place for this.

DO IT

- Ole - 10-15-2008

PM me if you want to keep it at the track.

I would have to have it inspected because I live in an apartment. I would need plates to drive it to and from the track (no truck or trailer.)

It really is a pipe-dream for me, just such a steal. I think the DSM will be a lot sicker in the end, its just going to run a lot more money than this one would.

- .RJ - 10-15-2008

why wont it pass inspection?

- ViPER1313 - 10-15-2008

Missing factory safety equipment (airbag, seat belts, all seats must be present), low ride height, lexan windows (maybe??), no cats.

I could just take all the parts and put them on my Red SHO though. Not make it a race car, just a hell of a sweet SHO.

- WRXtranceformed - 10-15-2008

I think you should do it. You're the only one of us who really appreciates that car. haha

You could always move out here to WV, the guy who "inspects" the Mustang only checks the head and taillights and your turn signals, sometimes you also have to honk the horn.

Cough up $12 to the state, and you're done!

Or take up Ole's offer to keep it at Summit, I wanna see that Taurus in action!

their math is awful too. "New 59,000", "Save 10,000", "39,999."
