Did that same engine problem plague the 2.5 Legacy GT's from 2004,5,6? I traded mine back in the day because i was nervous about turbos blowing up and shit, but i never did go back and figure out if I was just being paranoid.

the cars with the EJ255, which was basically the outback/leggy/foz/some WRX's, suffered the worst of the 2.5 models.  mostly because of a $2 filter in the oil feed line that coked up and starved the turbo of oil, which then sent shrapnel to the rest of the engine.

regardless you had a lot of other non-catastrophic failures from the insanely bad stock tune that eventually cracks the piston ringlands or head gaskets starting to seep on the older ones.

any high mileage subaru of that model range is almost guaranteed to have had a new shortblock or major work at this point.  part of the reason i bought a honda instead of one of those despite stupidly loving those cars.

Saw this on Jalop.  Is it just me, or would that be awesome?

That's pretty cool. I wouldn't buy it though.

Btw, did I see you on an episode of Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives?

I feel like I am the only person on this forum who doesn’t get the wagon craze. Wagons have gone off the rails so far as desirability and price. Thank you all for keeping the prices down on great sedans.

Yes you did. I seemed like a serial killer.

For $21K? That LS gift wrapped in a FD sure, not in a GTO. Seems waay too pricey.

it'll never sell, but sort of crazy some people treat these things as collector's cars and garage queen. Too ugly to collect and too nice to drive to keep parked.
