2667 Miata vs 3147 for a C6 Z06 (according to Car and Drivers scales, I have seen 3132 to 3162 in other sources) = 480 lbs, just for arguments sake.

Moving right along:

I really need to test drive one of these:

Also, the Nissan Cedric is now a thing that I love very much.

Great deal on a super clean 2g DSM (although it is FWD)

Car is a clean, like new turnkey racecar or track toy. I am just looking for a streetcar as I just don't have the time to race or do track days with with my current priorities, so I would rather see it dominate than collect dust in my garage. Love this car but wife wants a S2K or something she and I can ride in on weekends. With that said trades+cash welcome - S2K or EVO 8,9 or X.

Well over 75k invested without labor or car. Priced at 35,000 which is a steal as the parts would sell for more! Car has a half-day HPDE at Road America and a half-day at Autobahn Raceway. The car is sorted and a dream on track. I am really looking for a S2K AP1 or AP2, trade with cash & I have lots of pics and can put you in touch with Jeff who wired it all or Scott who assembled it . Just PM me and lets get you on track! I have plates but don't need emissions testss so I have driven it on the road, its just unruly. PM me any questions or serious offers as I have a lot of money and labor invested. If it doesn't get what I want it stays and I just buy a Evo or S2K, I wouldnt mind either way.

Shit that's nice looking. So much money and work to never enjoy it. I don't get it.

Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - ScottyB - 01-30-2017

good freakin grief. its so nice i'd be too scared to even drive it on track.

i'm not really sure what you do with something like that...just go out and dominate HPDEs? can you TT something like that in an unlimited class if you wanted?

Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - JustinG - 01-30-2017

TTU/STU I believe? There is a few cars that run STU/TTU.

Not sure why you would build that and get rid of it like Polecat was saying...

This isn't an exact fit, but I'd argue that anything with an EAG price tag on it qualifies as "heinous."

What's a fair price for this?

They should pay someone to take it out of their driveway.

Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - flintster55 - 02-20-2017

That's a pretty decent price really. Stock or nearly stock in that body style is super hard to find these days, especially in WRB. Timing belt is supposed to be done at 105K, so it would need that service soon if not already performed.

Outside of asking about the timing belt and any other service records, what else should a prospective buyer look out for with these first gen STI's? I fully understand these cars were built to be driven, but avoiding a heavily de-modded car would be ideal. Honestly, the fact that the ad fesses up to the car having a set of low-end coil overs kinda worries me. Why throw cheap parts on a nice car? :dunno:
