anyway, found my boost problem. i guess i got lazy and didn't looooob my diverter valve up. the darn piston was just about impossible to push, and sticking. it wouldn't go closed, which explains why it was taking forever to get any spoolage, and would jerk from 10 psi to 16 in a second.
couple bucks and a little high temp grease later and the whistle tips are goin woo wooooo!

turns out a 1.8T engine isn't thaaaat heavy :lol:
got my old block/head/oil pan/manifold back from the shop last night so i could get stuff organized and sell. carried the engine stuff home in the X and wrongly predicted that jen would help me carry the shortblock back into the house from the truck.
nope! "ow my fingers! you better not have gotten any oil on my carpet or your dead!" ah, soothing words. so, i said f it and picked it up. somehow i didn't blow out my back and now i have a nice greasy block chillin in front of my fireplace. sweet!
so, i'm gonna take it apart. if anyone has friends with dubs who are looking for AEB code engine stuff, maybe give them a heads up. at the very least i'll have an extra intake manifold, valve cover, oil pan and fuel rail. if things are looking nice i'll probably have the pistons, crank, and rods. i'll probably keep the head, but it could bring big bucks so i'm not sure how greedy i'm feeling.
since the block is probably crap i might turn it into a wine holder or coffee table or something.

how do i kill off a colony of ants that has decided to make my car home? i must have parked on a mound or something. after i got out of my car getting home yesterday the little bastards were trying to get out of the engine bay with a quickness since it was so hot. i tried dumping water all over the car to wash most of them off but i don't think i got them all of course.
yet another reason to burn this car to the ground.

I cant think of the name of it, but theres this ant killer that's a clear looking gel kind of substance, comes in a little like 2 ounce bottle. Just put a drop here and there, they'll pick it up, take it back to the colony and kill them off, works like a champ
