I see two problems....the exhaust, which has already been pointed out (pun intended), and it still has a rotary.

I've never seen one that cheap. Then again, I'm never actually looking.

If that is the same car I think it is, it is the biggest pile of shit. Came to Mid Atlantic Motorwerkes numerous times for all sorts of things. I think it was owned by one of those russian guys that came to the MM cruise a couple years ago after the car show.

That's fuckin' ugly. Give me a nice stock looking GS with a more reasonable 2JZ.

Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - JPolen01 - 06-10-2015

meh looks alright. The hood is fuckin terrible though and rewrap that steering wheel if you are going to drop that much money into the car.

Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - WRXtranceformed - 06-10-2015

Would love to see that motor setup in a newer GS...the older ones were super mehh. Or even an LS

Re: Cool cars for sale that ain't yours! - Mike - 06-10-2015

Hood and wheels look turrible. And I'm supremely bothered by it having a manual transmission but retaining the "Up" and "Down" buttons on the steering wheel. That's just laziness.

Also the wood grain on the console is out of place.

Own a 1:1 scale model of the Porsche 919. Hang it on your wall, park it in your yard, or throw an LSx in there and be the star of your local Cars and Coffee.

Not real clear from auction description, is it a "rolling chassis with no drivetrain" (which probably still makes it a million dollar assembly of racing hardware) or a "resin model with wheels that roll" (might as well be a block of soap, a *little* different than a "rolling chassis").

I don't know the lingo here, but it seems like it is a true rolling chassis.

Quote:To be clear, bidders here are not bidding on an actual car, it is a rolling chassis without a drivetrain. In the industry, it is often referred to as a "buck".

The exclusive limited edition 919 Hybrid 1:1 model car is a full-sized replica of the Porsche 919 Hybrid and is known to be the only 1 out of 13 replicas in the world to be privately owned. Very rarely are these rolling chassis models allowed to leave the factory yet alone be available for sale.

On the other hand,

Quote:The front wheels are rotating
The power plug for the lights of the mockup is a German Typ F (CEE 4/7) and ideally relies on 200V (it will also work with e.g. 100V)

So who really knows!
