Are high mileage S2ks a bad idea? Price aint bad for what I have heard is an awesome car. Ignore the ghetto wing and wheels but I followed one of these in the same color and interior combo back from ATL this week and it made it move a little:

Drive one first. They may not be your character. Great cars, but I ended up not liking them at all after lusting on them for years. I think you will find power anemic the way it delivers power is not how I enjoyed it. Not that you will ever get there, but handling at the limit is non-progressive; a car that rewards a tidy line and punishes you if not.
If you like them. Go towards an AP2, 2004+. 2004-2006 is best for making power based on available software tuning, and has some nice creature comforts (aside from the 2.2L upgrade vs the 2.0L). If you go looking, make sure to look for smoke out the back as they have blow-by issues, as well as check the upper front control arms for separation from the unibody. Don't expect smokey nice burnouts, or be prepared to constantly replace differentials.
Taking it easy? Not beating up on it? Superb Honda reliability :thumbup:

They can be very hit or miss. Do not buy one that has been modified. That kind of goes for every car, but especially things made of rice and revving to the moon. As DJ said, look for smoke and leaks (check their driveway). Also inspect the top as they aren't known to last forever.
I haven't followed the market, but my guess is that one is about $5k more than ballpark.

There's a special edition one of those for sale in NOVA right now for $47k. Its cool, but if I had that kind of money for a shockingly unreliable exotic, I think I'd get an F355 instead because its a 355.

Also found this for sale about 4 miles north of Harrisonburg on 11. Not supa troopa cool, but figured someone here might be looking (besides Taylor). It's a 5 speed with ~150k miles
