I'll begin this "cut and paste your Craigslist ad" with a few, MM-specific things about this truck.
First, it is a perfect vehicle for one of the current MMers (if you want a truck). You can haul stuff! Kegs, Motorcycles, Parts, Engines, etc! You'll be the envy of your whole apartment/dorm! Second, this truck doesn't need anything "major", so all that "I want to wrench" energy can go to making it "yours." An afternoon at a good salvage yard would have this thing looking great.
I have taken good care of this truck. I save all my spirited driving for my car, and all my "work it to death" chores for the F-150. This was my commuter vehicle for over two years and I never got tired of it.
MM price is $1,225 and don't try to talk me down much. I'm already giving you a 14% discount over Craigslist ;-).
I live in Staunton, about 25miles south of Harrisonburg. If you don't have any other wheels, I can bring it to you if you're pretty serious.
Please let me know if you have any questions!

1994 Ford Ranger Splash 2x4, Electric Blue, $1,425
2.3L Dual-plug Engine
5-speed manual transmission
260600 miles
The Good:
ÔÇó ItÔÇÖs a Ford Ranger Splash! Electric Blue
ÔÇó Never been in an accident
ÔÇó 25mpg highway
ÔÇó New Sony ÔÇ£XplodeÔÇØ speakers, Panasonic Headunit with MP3 and Aux-in. Sounds great. Currently attached to an XM receiver
ÔÇó Newish tires (about 10k ago) with 80,000 mile Costco warranty, low rolling resistance
ÔÇó New Ford Motorcraft shocks all around
ÔÇó New AC condenser
ÔÇó New Alternator
ÔÇó New Brake pads and rear drums
ÔÇó New Plugs and Wires
ÔÇó New coil packs
ÔÇó New slave cylinder (clutch)
ÔÇó Oil changed every 5,000 with Mobile 1 synthetic
ÔÇó All other fluids changed about 15,000 miles ago
ÔÇó Aluminum wheels
Not necessarily good, but not necessarily bad:
ÔÇó It rides like a truck
ÔÇó Interior is pretty good, though center console doesnÔÇÖt latch and must be held in place other ways
ÔÇó Paint is OK. A good wax or buff job would probably go a long way. Clear coat is peeling in the back.
ÔÇó Transmission is sloppy, takes some getting used to. I understand this can be fixed by replacing a small, accessible piece below the shifter. I got used to it and it wasnÔÇÖt important to me
ÔÇó Serpentine belt squeaks once in a while for about 1 second after starting, then doesnÔÇÖt make another sound
ÔÇó AC works fine, but could use a recharge. ItÔÇÖs somewhere between ÔÇ£coldÔÇØ and ÔÇ£coolÔÇØ on the hand-mometer.
ÔÇó Body looks like it has some miles on it. Some dings, scratches, etc. No major body work has ever been done on the truck.
ÔÇó Power Mirrors are ok and work fine, but vibrate a little when going down the road.
The bad:
ÔÇó Paint in bed is in bad shape. A bed liner would go a long way.
ÔÇó Grill is cracked from when I accidentally backed into it with an ATV (slowly)
ÔÇó Tail gate shows signs of years of use
ÔÇó Tachometer displays about ┬¢ of the actual RPMs
The truck runs great. ItÔÇÖs never left me stranded and honestly shows no signs of stopping any time soon. IÔÇÖd drive it to California tomorrow and not worry about ÔÇ£if IÔÇÖd make it.ÔÇØ I got this vehicle for commuting up and down I-81 and for hauling stuff around the yard, and it has served me wonderfully! It got twice the fuel economy of my primary truck, and itÔÇÖs small and simple. Easy to fuel, easy to heat, easy to cool, and easy to drive. I have no reservations about selling it to anyone because I truly believe it will serve you just as well as it has served me.
The truck has the bullet-proof Ford 2.3 Litre engine ÔÇô cast iron block, iron head. Dual plugs for a little more power and better fuel economy. It's not a "fast" vehicle but it does fine on the on-ramps and interstate. It's torquy though, like you'd expect from a small, American truck. I've installed a hand full of new parts as they have been needed.
ItÔÇÖd be a great first vehicle, a commuter vehicle, an around-town truck, etc. If you want something to drive 100mph over the mountains in, I wouldnÔÇÖt suggest this truck. If you want to cruise up and down I-81 at 75, itÔÇÖs wonderful.
While IÔÇÖm sad to see it go, I know itÔÇÖll serve someone well. Be good to it, itÔÇÖll be good to you!
Kelly Blue Book puts the value somewhere between $1,625 and $2,100.
