So on my way to work this morning (on Stuart Mill Road in Oakton), Bambi and her friend jumped over a fence and landed about 10 feet infront of me. One was in my lane, one was on the the double yellows. Needless to say i hit the one in my lane. I kept on the throttle, kept the bike straight, and threw Bambi to the side of the road. I am fine... the bike needs a couple parts... and i never hit the ground.

is this a wreck?

ps- anyone got 99-02 R6 parts laying around? i didnt think so.

also quite impressed that you kept it upright. I prob wouldn't bother reporting it to insurance, unless it's some serious damage and you're not worried about premiums going up. Sounds more like a flesh wound than anything...

PM me with a list of what parts you need.

Did you get an accident report to claim for insurance? You are always supposed to call it in after you hit a deer. Also, did you keep the deer - the bike probably tenderized it quite a bit, and jerky is tasty.

Sorry to hear it though, really glad you are OK - it's amazing you stayed on the bike.
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

I"m more pissed at the parts i have to replace... and that fact that i've been using it as my main form of transportation. Wink i'll miss my $18/week for gas and HOV ride every day...

hopefully steve has some of the parts, because it will be at least a week with shipping that i'll be trapped in a car!

so what's the reason for asking the question if you only have liability? just curious if you WOULD have been covered if you had accident? yes.

I don't really understand the options, unless we're debating the semantics of it.

IMO, all those options place fault on you and that's not really what happened.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

It's all about asking the right questions...

Did Bambi have a fender?
