Just thought it may be helpful. I saw this on DCSB.net

it's not as detailed as Carfax, but it's simple enough to show an incident that may throw a red-flag. most importantly, it's free

Have you thought about having a 24 hour guard around your house?
Maybe we could park a new GSXR-1000 outside your house and sit on your roof waiting for it to be stolen...

i thought this site was a nice check for any vehicles you may be thinking about purchasing or even going so far as to purchase a carfax for.
i've just given up on trying to own anything made by Honda. not that the manufacturer has anything to do with my experiences, but this last one just came out of the 'blue'. I thought i was in a safe neighborhood. i will not be getting another motorcycle until i have garaged parking for it.
fyi - for those that don't know what i'm referring to, check my signature...

Are you sure that it isn't someone that you know? You have had WAY too many cars stolen.....
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

perhaps a Sentry Gun? (...maybe i'm playing too much MW2...)
on a serious note, i'm a little disappointed that it is unlawful to shoot someone for trying to steal your property in virginia - learned via the concealed carry class i took at the NRA HQ.

pretty sure. i really don't know anyone that would do this to me and the cars that were stolen were pre-2001 honda acuras which are known to have a serious vulnerability with theft. unfortunately the motorcycle was sitting in an open parking space (with a cover on) without the ability to chain it down to anything. at my current residence i don't really have any other options for parking the motorcycle. the best theft prevention for a motorcycle is a lockable garage, which i plan to have within 2 years. until then i think i may be able to hold off getting another motorcycle...
couldn't you just put one of those scooter/bike locks through the wheels, I mean, I guess if you really wanted it you could move it anyway with a bike stand, but it would be better than nothign

i'm pretty sure whoever did this did it with a minivan or something; i doubt they rode it away. even if i had a brake disc lock on the bike it wouldn't help if they just picked up a took it with another vehicle. the bike needs to be anchored down to a fixed unremovable object for true theft protection.
youtube "600rr theft minivan" and you can see thieves captured on a security camera taking a 600rr on a busy street in broad daylight with a dodge caravan. all performed in under 30 seconds...

Damn man you seriously have the worst luck. Bike theft is pretty big in Charlotte too because modified bikes are wayyy more popular than modded cars. I know of a number of people who keep their bikes chained up even inside locked garages. Thieves have gotten so good that people have to take extreme measures like those.
