He was, but it's a 99 and might be a bit too nice for use as a pure track rat.

i will be tracking, but will only be doing so through DE events until i go through comp school and plan on going to a spec miata...I want a 90-93 because of the local competition in scca STS as well as have something to tear through country/mountain roads.. Also of note, i already have koni sports, hard dog hard core, hard top, and GC coilovers waiting for the right car. (found them over the last couple months at smoking deals..) Ive looked at tons of cars over the past couple months and have found tons of crap cars.

Can you not use the 99+ in STS? It would be faster, but I cant keep track of autox rules.

no, only NA's for that class...For me to get a NB and be competitive in a class that t hey compete in i'll have to drop more $$..I think that for what I want to do, NA is the way to go. Additioanlly my brother races SM and has a STS NA so if im a the track and need a part, ill have quick access.

I have a white 90 that I sort of acquired to build into an SSM for my son, but he is now out of state so it is available. Interior is already stripped and ready for a racing seat(s) and harness. I am about to just part it out because I am tired of looking at it, beside I have to pay the chap that sort-of sold it to me. ;-)

It only has 100k on it and I have had offers for the hood, front bumper and rear bumper so I am getting close to parting it out. Let me know if you are interested, I will be at the garage Sunday....

1.6 is the only car will win in SSM in the NE Region of SCCA. 1.6s typically make up the podium in SM at Summit Point as well. Don't listen to used-to-be racers...

SSM = crybaby 1.6 owners taking their toys to another sandbox that none of the big kids are allowed in

im really looking for something to drive around as well as track/auto-x. it sounds like your car might be a little too far gone to be a nice driver for beach trip and what-not..

Dave...no 1.8 love because i want the vlsd for STS. (even though im currently waiting on pictures of a '92 with 98k base model, no PS or vlsd)
