WTF...did he really lay down in between rolling airplane tires? The stones they had back then...never will there be another badass like McQueen.

I first saw the film when I was 10 or 11. Got a couple of good articles on the chase including the issue of Motor Trend Classic that was all about the chase. I laughed at the part where you could see Hickman hit that car, never saw it from that angle. I'm surprised there all not dead from driving 400 ft-lb, 215 bias ply leaf-sprung muscle cars like that.
