It was exciting when I first saw it a long time ago, but when I found out it was faked I was pretty disappointed.

There is a lot of controversy over whether or not Lelouche used a Ferrari or a Mercedes and faked the engine sounds, and whether or not he drove it, or a F1 driver of the time who's name escapes me.
Still, awesome film. If you really want to get your blood pumping, watch the Getaway in Stockholm series, which was inspired by this. GIS 2 being the best, Ford Escort Cosworth vs. Toyota Supra: Part 1 High Quality Part 2 High Quality Part 2 starts out with my favorite part of the film 8) Its like Rendevouz, but times 10 with more flames and 180mph.

As soon as he got on to the first straight and was going maybe 75 while the soundtrack was topping out 5th for a long time, it was pretty obvious something was wrong! Unless that car has like 50HP. Tire sounds are fake too. It's a pretty satisfying video if you put it in the background and just listen to it. :wink:

reminds me of my freinds new GO PRO camera. we put it on his car and went down his street at maybe 20mph.. looked like we were doing 70mph because of the crazy wide angle i guess. he went 80 on his bike with it and it looked like he was doing 200 mph

heh..this reminds me of my quake2 days, i used to set the field of vision to 120 degrees which made it seem like you were moving faster..made for a more fun game
