There had been rumblings about this team from about a year ago or so but now it looks like it's going to happen. From a year ago the rumor was that they were going to take over Super Aguri's operation, then recently they were supposed to take over Honda's operation but at this point both scenarios look very unlikely. Some said American Honda was going to give them some support but I seriously doubt that as well.

With all of the recent cost-cutting measures in F1 I think USF1 could at least put forth a decent effort but with the economy the way it is they are going to have a hell of a timing getting sponsorship.

Then there's the question of who their drivers are gonna be. Graham Rahal would probably be my vote but I'm sure Marco Andretti will be a leading candidate because of his name. Scott Speed would be a natural choice (since he's already driven a few seasons in F1) but I doubt he'd be interested in getting back in the championship with a backmarker team. Especially since he's been doing well in NASCAR. And as always, there's a high chance Danica will get a seat because of the sponsor money and publicity she could bring :roll:

Anyway, it could be cool but I'd like to see that they're in it for the long haul, not just a season or two before they run out of money. Too many projects like this have come and gone in F1.
