1970 Camaro Z28 w/1100 miles
#1
I only read through page one so I have no idea about $$ paid, future of the car, etc. I do think it's pretty cool regardless. As the title says, 1970 Camaro was found with 1100 miles. Apparently the original owner drove it (sparingly) and then got a door ding in a parking lot. He got so mad that he parked the car and hasn't driven it since.

My dad had a 69 or 70 Camaro in college, so maybe that explains why I think it's cool? Either way, it's a more or less "time capsule" of a car.

Read it here.

I love reading stuff like this, and I hope I too will be the fortunate owner of a ridiculously low-mileage "survivor" car. I don't understand how some people can let cars sit like that though, I can understand driving a car 1k miles a year, but never in 30+? GL to the new owner, I'm sure it needs a lot of sorting and maintenance but awesome find.

There was a guy that passed away in Wisconsin a few years ago and his relatives found tractor trailers full of Camaro's, Corvettes and so on with no miles. I wonder whatever happened to that collection...

Wow normally I'm not a fan of 1970+ model years of the Camaro. I'm slightly biased because my best friend has a 68 but I think 67-69 were the best years IMO. This one is amazing tho. Seeing pictures of all the original labels and even original air in the tires???? Thats awesome Confusedhock:

Yeah I really prefer the 67-69 models, but like you said, the originality is what makes it so cool.

There is a guy that lives in broadway that has a Yenko Stinger (A Yenko Corvair) that is in mint condition. They make Yenko Camaro's, Yenko Nova's and Yenko Corvairs (Stingers), and all of them are awesome!

The guys sons sold the collection and all the misc parts from the trailers off for around 500k. They did keep one of the vettes and one other car from the collection though. I have the full story on it at home. Lots of nice cars in that collection. Just about all where chevy. From what I remember there where a couple first gen and second gen ss camaros. A couple 70' SS 454 Chevelles and a 69' Yenko Camaro. Plus some other asst. chevys from the 50's, 60's, and very early 70's. I can get the full list for you tomorrow if you like.
