The gov't will bail them out. Just like they did with Chrysler in the 80's and they are doing with GM now.

"too big to fail"

How about not sucking? Honda, Toyota, etc seem to be doing ok.

ive been thinkin about purchasing both GM and Ford stock since its so low.....IMO it can only go up. And i don't see them going under, either bailed out, bought out or Merger.

Not shabby at all, but he's looking to gain a lot more than that. There is already some legislation in the works to give auto dealers a deal to boost sales. The govt. is planning to offer dealers a pre-set minimum trade in value for busted ass cars just to crush them for scrap metal to recycle. Should help get some of the busted shit off the road and get some new iron rollin around. Now if we could just get the banks to start lending money again to people with average but not amazing beacon scores we could step up the business again. I can't even count the number of people in the last few weeks that have tried to buy a car with decent credit and either not been approved or we've been hit at such a high interest rate that the customer walked.

Now you can imagine how the people trying to sell in the housing market have been feeling.

We burned crops in the Great Depression... that worked out well.

Government meddling in lending markets got us into this mess....

I know you're not standing on your front porch with a bag of money waiting for me to call you. But I'm not some 18-year-old selling a cure for AIDS. I'm 46 years old, I have 22 years market experience, I know this business. So pick up your skirt, grab your balls, and lets go make some money

Winner.

Definitely the best Ben Affleck quotes ever too:

"They say money can't buy happiness? Look at the fucking smile on my face. Ear to ear, baby."

"Anybody who tells you money is the root of all evil doesn't fucking have any."

"There's an important phrase that we use here, and think it's time that you all learned it. Act as if. You understand what that means? Act as if you are the fucking President of this firm. Act as if you got a 9" cock. Okay? Act as if."

"You Want details? Fine. I drive a Ferrari, 355 Cabriolet, What's up? I have a ridiculous house in the South Fork. I have every toy you could possibly imagine. And best of all kids, I am liquid."

I think the quote is from a random broker as they're panning through the call center.
