Merely a formality. Grand Am was owned/run by Roger Edmondson who is a long time friend of Jim France and I believe some of the finances were already mixed anyway. It seems like they're just trying to consolidate.

Based on what people (whom were involved with the series from the get-go) told me, the thing was already run from the France family...
