Introducing the Dodgubishi Avengiclipse

By the time the venerable second generation Mitsubishi launched, Eagle and Plymouth were on the outs. Needing a sports coupe, they launched the Dodge Avenger on a lengthened 2G Eclipse platform. Apparently, one of our neighbors decided to make a commentary on this by combining the two in what is, we're told, not a completely unusual swap.

Any takers... DJ? Justin? Hell, let's get both DSMs together with Jack's Stratus and have a party :lol:

I have always considered the advenger part of the dsm family in a wierd sort of way like the 2g, considering it is basically the same damn car ( as the n/t 2g). And when people say they are not a dsm then the 2 g eclipse is not. I had a 96 Advenger and it was identical on the inside as my 2g eclipse and as you see the sheet metal from the advenger fits nicely onto the 2g's. Hell some sebrings have the same interior also. And they all rolled down the same production line. But true dsm's is a 1g thing. They were actually made but Diamond Star Motors where the 2g's and all there cousins where made by Mitsubishi Motors Of America and DSM was no longer.
