im not gonna really need em 24/7... its called patience crap can always wait till morning to get it resolved with an insurance company. Besides theres nothing that can be accomplished by filing a claim at 2am. Youll still have to wait till at earliest the next day to get an estimate or repair or do anything about a situation.
Its an unnecessary commodity.

That's the best part. You don't need to. You have an accident friday night. Have your car towed to ANY shop, fixed on Saturday and get a rental for the weekend (rental office is closed on Sunday). Call agent on Monday morning. They will reemburse every cent (as long as you have car rental). Or you could alwasy stand on the side of the road and wait for some retard in an 'ERB' to show up and write a report. Ble, StateFarm rocks. But you can only signup if you have a clean record.

hmmm, the guy that rear ended me had state farm, and it took them two weeks for them to send a guy out to look at my car and "authorize" the repairs on my estimate obtained at the body shop. plus the state farm headquarters is in c'ville! bastards!

on a lighter note, i actually did save a bunch of money by switching to geico. almost $1k / year for two cars

all I know, is when I was bad enough to get booted from my 'rent's insurance or they'd cancel it all, Progressive hooked me up. Geico seemed about on par compared to everyone else, but when the Progressive lady gave me the monthly cost, I wanted to say.... uh... did you forget all that shit I told you I did? The totaled cars, the tickets, the dead bodies? I'll take it! So far so good, and good in ATL too with Jess added on.

Of course, it helps that our cars are worthless. :|

I'm on State Farm. Around 600/yr w/ not the cleanest driving record. When I've gotten other quotes they have been for A LOT more. I dread getting off my parent's plan when I "officially" move out.

You could probably have a fleet of E30's and they wouldn't even increase your premiums. In fact, they'd probably end up owing you money from the multi-car discount Tongue

I got kicked off my parent's policy when I bought the Supra. Something about me owning it without any co-owners on the title meant that I had to have my own policy. Stupid shit if you ask me, but its not like it was gonna stop me from buying the car.

yeah, for now i'm keeping my address as my parent's since where I'm living now isn't really permanent. and yes, if your name is on the title as fully owning it you have to have your own insurance with state farm too. so.... i bought the car and put the title in my dad's name. no biggie, it saves me an arm and a leg each year.
