Has anyone here done a trackday with ether of these groups? If so what did you think?
Secondly, when these groups put together a trackday do they bring their own staff? I looked on both their websites and didnt see anything about being able to volenteer to be a cornerworker. Will they take a noob as a cornerworker? i was hoping to cornerwork untill i got a feel for the events and also to get credit to pay for a trackday.
I've run with NESBA a few times now and think they do a decent job, I don't really have any complaints. They have a good policy on canceling, website works great, they make sure there aren't any other hidden costs to get in or camp, have a free 2-session intro group you can sign up for, and run a good variety of tracks. The control riders I've dealt with and people I've asked questions of have all been helpful.
I THINK they use the track's corner workers, but I'm really not sure. It's certianly worth asking, maybe they could use a hand elsewhere as well.

yeah i guess i'll have to send 'em an e-mail. they have an event coming up at summit that maybe i'll check out.
I wouldn't hesitate to sign up for the free 2 session thing, they keep the pace pretty slow (unless you... er... accidentally get in the wrong line) and hey, it's free. If Summit's close, do it!

yeah, i did the free 20-minute session with NESBA and it's pretty cool and relatively slow. they send you out in the morning sessions so every one's not as fast then as they are later in the day.
The instructors are helpful and you'll want to pay for the rest of the day, but it's hard to pay for it since you got 1/4 of the day for free.
My only complaint was the amount of traffic, but it was on the small Jefferson Circuit.
yeah the free half day sounded good too. you have to be a nesba member to do it right? i'd have to rent leathers, i'm poor at the moment and need a new helmet first.
are you guys planing on going to summit this season?
Not that I'd suggest it, but for the intro/beginner group all you need is:
Helmet
Gauntlet Gloves
Leather Jacket
Two pairs of Jeans (last time I checked)
Full leathers aren't required, however I think most of us would call you a nutjob if you showed up without leathers, even a 2 piece (which is what I use).
I should be at a few events on summit this summer... maybe get out in June. I still need to put humpy dumpty back together though.

I may do a few Summit Main events with NESBA and then a VIR event with another org.

I'll probably roll out whenever RJ does. I don't go to the track by myself, I get lonely (and I like to beat him on on a mono )
When it comes to Ryan Jenkins, the story ends with me putting him in the wall.

maybe we should actually pick some dates man, cause... ya know, I like to goto the track with people too!
Co-worker and I are signing up for CMP with NESBA in June, anyone else in? I'll also hopefully do the patriot course the following month, and there are plenty of Summit dates later in the year too....

I refuse to go all the way down to CMP. I'll do some Summit Main (and only Summit Main), and VIR, that's about it probably.
CMP in june? I might be in for that.
