Damn, there are some ghetto ass VWs out there! I frequent a Mustang forum, and one of the guys posted up about how he was up in Ocean City when that was going on and it sounded like a gigantic weed wacker everywhere =P

damn i love that shot of the red dub where you can just make out the ITB's through the grille 8)

and that VW jetta coupe was apparently big bucks to make IIRC. probably the only time you'll ever see it!

i wish i could say "yes" but it was actually sold in the US, for real money, as the "harlequin" model. you can probably see but they're a blue unibody with red, teal, and yellow panels. they are very, very rare.
