However I will say that a situation where 6 people are beating up one person is considered life threatening. They very well could have killed him. Now I don't know if it qualifies as attempted murder because they'd have to establish that the intent was to kill, but it certainly was a serious offense. I don't what the charge would be but it would have to be a pretty serious one.
