Wouldn't everyone's lives be so much better if we had just one of these to relentlessly beat on?

Quote:So me and my buddy are nearing completion of our race car for the upcoming 24 Hours of LeMons race in Flat Rock, Michigan (www.24hoursoflemons.com). If you are not familiar with the race, it's basically a 24 hour endurance race with the main stipulation being this: your race car must be purchased and prepped for no more than $500, however, you can spend as much as you want on wheels / tires, brakes, and safety equipment. This makes for a very interesting race.

Our car: 1991 Mitsubishi Mirage Hatchback
2.0 Liter N/A 4G63 swap with Galant 5 Spd
1G DSM suspension w/ cut springs (ghetto but it was the only way to slam it on a budget)
Brembo slotted rotors
Hawk Ceramic Pads
Motul Synthetic Brake Fluid
Sheet Metal Race seat w/ 5 point harness
4pt Cage
Car is COMPLETELY gutted and wieghs around 1700lbs

The car hauls ass and handles on rails. If we can make it last the entire race, we are very confident in a good showing. Here is a short vid we whipped up for fun, wish us luck!
Current: '20 Kia Stinger GT2 RWD | '20 Yamaha R3 | '04 Lexus IS300 SD
Past: '94 Mazda RX-7 | '04 Lexus IS300 (RIP) | '00 Jeep XJ | '99 Mazda 10AE Miata | '88 Toyota Supra Turbo

I bet I could find a lot more fun cars for $500, but that's still pretty cool.

You are looking at ~another $2,000-5,000 for all that, hum sounds like a more expensive GRM...brakes and tires will need to be changed a few times in 24hrs, that means extra wheels.
