All of these cars shizzle my nizzle and I think I could live with them and they're all under or near $20k.... Discuss.

Panniers? Fag.
You might have just looked wrong, though. Those are awesome cases for balls storage.

I'm guessing you want sporty, reliable transport? If that's the case, 350z, GTI, Cooper S get my vote. Can you get an 07+ GTI for under 20? I don't think so...
those choices + you = MS3
Personally I think a convertible is stupid because you already have much better in a motorcycle. Convertibles are not ideal for the winter and you'd likely use this most when it's really cold.
I can't see you with a newish BMW.
Minis are just plain silly street cars for heterosexual males.
VWs are for college kids.
The Z is so ubiquitious these days.
Boxsters have a lot of the same problems the 996s do.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

I hated the Gti i drove

$22-23k used, $25-26k new.
But there's that whole reliability thing that I like.

E46 or 350z would be my choice for a next car, but 'next car' probably won't happen.
I think out of all them I like the Mini S the best... but I ![[Image: emlove.gif]](http://images.honda-tech.com/set1/smile/emlove.gif) FWD, so my reality is distorted. Close runner ups would be a 530i or Miata.

i looked at quite a few of these myself when i was shopping. i could be wrong on some of these facts, much of this is just reading about people's experiences with the cars.
350Z
edit: if the price is right i'd probably be on it like whoa
Mini S
very cool, they hold their value like crazy! kinda heavy, (not that heavy, just compared to cars that size). i'd love to have one honestly. i think Chan mentioned that the supercharger isn't long lived but you never keep cars anyway.
S2000
i still want one. mad skillz yellow with factory aero kit please!
Mazdaspeed 3
if the cooper was too small and i wanted fwd, i'd hit this next
E46
meh...i guess they're fun, be really nice on a road trip.
E39
wait til your old
07+ GTi
probably a nice car to drive, but i'd rather have the MS3. they're hellacious with a software upgrade and the DSG is pretty much unmatched, if you like that kind of stuff.
99-05 Miata
do you miss it that much?
Boxster
my pipe-dream car (well, that and an M-coupe....actually why don't you consider an M coupe?). have fun working on it. keep kitty litter around when you park it for the oil leaks
Audi A4
i still maintain that this car has tons of potential but you'll be too mired in maintenance if it's been owned by anyone who's not an audi fanatic or technician to enjoy it. if you like to do your own wrenching these cars are getting so cheap it hurts (ouch, didn't like selling mine)
ITR
Been there, stole that

if i could find a stook for cheap, i'd sell the miata and get it. E39 is pimptastic and i have considered buying one as well. E46 would be good too, so comfy. i like cooper S, but chan told me about their superchargers which really worries me. 350Z seems too big for what it is, but its still an uber sexy car. ITR would be fun too and theft isnt a terrible problem in cville (now that i say that, i'm sure my car is being stolen as we speak) but you arent in cville and you already had one.

Ok good, because those choices are so all over the place there's nowhere to start. Utilitarian to practically useless.
I take that back, they are all cars. With 6cyl or less. What do I win?
BTW, the mini supercharger thing isn't some insurmountable problem. You CAN change the oil in the supercharger, they just didn't design it to be changed and it didn't sound very easy. My other dislikes were the runflat tires because of having no spare and the concern about earlier transmissions falling apart just seems encouraged by throwing more power at them.

The only requirement was that I think its cool, and they're fun to drive

Are mini's reliable? I can't remember having ever read anything about them in that respect.
I definitely would go with the mini if so. Im not really sure but they look like such fun little cars

BTW, I've never gotten so many looks from chicks than when I am driving Jess' Mini around. Of course, chicks smile and wave at gay guys too... so... hmm.... :dunno: :evileye:

they aren't. But certainly WAY better than a VW.
